i'm just trying to understand why everyone is so convinced the bible says we are going to heaven if we are good when we die. and here's my brief reasoning using three scriptures (though there are more). ecclesiastes 9:5 says the dead are conscious of nothing. john 5:28,29 says there is going to be a resurrection, and psalm 37:10,11 says the meek will inherit the earth. and just a thought, if we were supposed to go to heaven, why create adam and eve to live forever on earth if they weren't meant to be there?

It's always amazing to see the arguments about the land of Israel. The Palestinians say it belongs to them, yet there is no Palestinian people nor has there ever been. They are from Yemen, Saudi Arabi, Morrocco, Greece, Egypt. That's why you have never heard of a Paestinian language, there is no Palestinian culture..nothing. Yet they try to present to the world they they have some claim to Israel. Every time Israel is attacked by terrorist and Israel defends itself..ISRAEL is labeled as the terrorist. Most have never considered how tolerant Israel is by allowing the so-called Palestinian to even be in their country...if it was up to me I would deport them everytime they break a law...they MUST leave the country!

I'd love to hear your thought's...NO paste-ups please...no have to time to read that stuff!

Surely, men should also cover their flesh, so that women with no self control are not tempted to commit adultery and fornicate with loose men?

Who knows what shameful thoughts a man's rippling muscles and 'lunch-box' arouse in women he is not married to, and of course, it would be his fault if a woman then 'sinned' with him!

And shouldn't men also be saved from the sin of vanity in their appearance too? Just look at the way some of them swagger around in tight jeans... It's most ungodly!

So, shouldn't men cover their precious tempting flesh from head to toe in order to save women from lustful thoughts?

We all know that most women are weak-willed and have no self-control, so shouldn't we put all responsibility for female promiscuous behaviour on the men who tempted them?

I see these guys like Pat Robertson or TD Jakes having huge profits from their followers. Doesn't it bother you how these people live off your money? The car they drive, the clothes they wear, the private schools their kids go to, their home, all funded by YOU. Heck, I have even seen one of these "pastor" dudes live in the same block as former president Bush in a 5 million dollar property. You'd think these guys are doing this preaching for god, but if that were true, they could hold a real job like the rest of us and put some chairs every sunday in their backyard and preach. If it gets too crowded, meet up at a park and have a picnic too. Why do they need these fancy places with flat screen tv's, powerpoint screens, colesiums, and all this other stuff in their church? Seems like a waste of money that could go to a hungry family or an orphan child.

Enough is enough. It is time to stop giving these opportunists your hard earned money.

My wife is leaving me and I know that if I can just keep her from drifting away and sit down to talk about our issues we will be ok. But her parents have a strong hold on her and keep pressure on to just walk away from me and stay tight to them. I only want her to actually stop and give "us" a chance to work out our issues.

Specially I am reffering towards the language which they always use in their movies. Its so vulgar, full of filth. Always they are heard saying 'sht' and calling ' fk u'. A distant ancestor of mine wrote in his catechism copybook three beatitudes. The middle one said, "Blesed are thay that are naked for thay shall be clothed." This was written in c.1635 and I have seen the page. From what bible, used in church schools, did this come? Books cost a year's income back then so probably the Preacher was the only person to have a bible; thusly the copying. Thank you.
