Imak, Unlike Islam Christianity does not discriminate on the basis of religion. Christians are forbidden to murder ANYONE regardless of religion. But many so called Christians are not or are deluded etc.

I'm just seeking clarification. Was the Iran/Iraq war in which millions of muslims were killed by other muslims a jihad and so allowed? If so which side was on the right - Iran or Iraq?

Funny too.... they throw a fight over different beliefs in the Muslim faith. Yet I don't see the Christian church stoning and killing Mormons or Jehovah's, they profess Jesus, but clearly not the right one, and refer to different books for salvation.
Yet we don't kill them... odd.... even the denominations have been able to coexist peacefully... at least I don't see my church launching suicide bombers on the Methodist church, because they don't believe the same way I do.

Better question, why does anyone kill anyone? Pretty much every religion has a prohibition on murder, yet religion has been at the root of more killing (and other atrocities) than any other concept known to man. IMO, religion is, by definition, an irrational belief, and once people start being irrational, all our baser, violent predelictions are closer to the surface. Not to condemn faith categorically, many good things are also an outgrowth of spirituality. But since faith is not based in reason, the only way to settle religious disputes is with un-reasonable means.

One of the many short comings which has arisen in the West, is judging Islam by the conduct of a minority of its people. By doing this, segments of Western society have deliberately played off the desperate actions of many Muslims, and have given it the name of Islam. Such behaviour is clearly not objective and seeks to distort the reality of Islam. For if such a thing was done Judge a religion by the conduct of its people) then we too could say that all Christianity is about is child molesting and homosexuality By using the many cases of child abuse and homosexuality by priests, Such a generalisation about Christianity could be made
The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.
I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach. I think any one will not accept from his enemy to give informations to the world about his life and his belief

who told you that muslim not allow to kill another muslim or just any others people? They have the right to protect themselves or their religious under certain circumstances n its consider jihad/martyr ! majority of the muslim wouldn't simply kill people except the extremist/terrorist who miss understand the teaching of Islam, just like you too have a miss understanding of Islam !

Fanaticism. fanatics, in Islam kills people irrespective of religion, creed and community in the name of Allah. Few days back Military ruler of Pakistan Parvej Musharraf used his military guns to kill brutally Tribal leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, He was a Baloch, a Pakistani, who had disagreements with the government. Muslims (not all) their present status is disasters.

now from your previous question that i answered before i admitt that you really ask questions inorder to understand this thing rather than mention a point .
now let me clarify certain things .
1- muslims are not allowed to kill other muslims
2-muslims are not ALLOWED TO KILL ANY PERSON watever is his religion is .
3-Qur'an ,which is the muslims holy book , ORDERS muslims to respect christianity & judaisim especially ,bcz , they are mentioned as the groups who has received the holy book of the same god .
4-in islam its obligatory to defend yourself , especially if someone is seeking to take your land .
5-HOWEVER , its also in islam , a muslim who converts from islam to any other religion must die .
6- nowadays there is lots of islamic sectors .the most wide are the (sunni , & shiite )sunni as in Saudi Arabia , shiite as in Iran.
7-all sectors are muslims but some radical muslims from both has started to claim to be the best & they are the real followers of islam .these radical muslims as (al Qa'ida a suni group being lead by bin ladin ) has fartherly claimed that who do not follow them is a one who converted from islam . so they have gave themselves the right to kill other sectors as well .thats why you see so many iraqi people of the shite group being killed in iraq everyday nowadays .
8-the iranian /iraqi conflict years ago where not between radical group but ratherly between two political positions .although that both are of different sectors .
9- there was also the iraqi / kuweit conflict & it was bcz saddam thought by capturing kuwait he will get extra petrol wells .
unfortunately their is lack in knowledge to the islamic sociaty in the west , & the knoweldge thats being spread comes from the radical groups .
there are many many many muslims all over the world & in arab world that are not radical .now i mentioned before that am from lebanon . my country has almost 50 % christiens (with all its sectors )& almost 50 % muslims (with all its sectors ) .we really live in harmony now . & i would really invite you to visit it one day .

look u will find bad and good people in every religion if u look that rape is not allowed in ISLAM and in Christian but today in every 37 seconds a women is raped in USA and the majority over there are Christian living plz don't mind i am not saying that CHRISTAN are bad there are very nice people who are Christian i hope u get the answer peace

Christianity has a longer history of sectarian violence than Islam.

Because they dont actually know what thier faith is about. And they are bampots.
Thier idiot extremist leaders brainwash them into having no tollerance for Westerners and this causes friction amongst thier own and thusly they kill each other
