We also say "cin cin" (cheen cheen) that means nothing in Italian but it is a very common expression, otherwise someone says "prosit" which is a Latin expression that stands for "may it be good" however it is very rare nowadays and a sign of a certain elegance and culture... "alla goccia" instead is not exactly a toast, it means that you have to drink all in one go... Bye ^^

It's VA FANGULO!!
(say it loud with enthusiasm)

Totally kidding don't say that... unless you say it in a sarcastic way... You're right.. it's Salute ..as someone above explained..it's said "SAH - LOOO"

If you're wishing wellbeing to a group: say "ALLA VOSTRA SALUTE"
Pronounced "ALAH VOSTRA SAH-LOO"

To one person "ALA TUA SALUTE"

99.99% of the time a simple SAH-LOO will do..

I
