I don't want a sexist God. Men and women should be equal.
God should not have a chosen people or he is showing favoritism.
Slavery is wrong. No excuses, period.

Come on - All religions prop up the weak people who do not know how to exist in society without the prop of an imagined God. All the major religions and particularly the Christian religion have been taken over by zealots and changed belong recognition from their origins.
Followers are self serving, boast full egotists.
If you want peace and tranquillity and the chance to reach heaven if it exists have nothing to do with them. Atheists are far more moral, inclusive, sensitive, accepting and generally far better human beings than the religious nuts who seek to indoctrinate and dictate.

If you must have religion in the traditional sense, I suppose you could try Buddhism. It teaches that we are all from the same universal energy and are each part of everything else. Buddhism is also the only religion that doesn't contradict science.
The appealing thing from an Atheistic standpoint is that Buddhists believe that YOU are God, and you have the power over your own life. I like the idea, I'm just not into renouncing my worldly possessions to become Buddha!
Look into a book called "The Buddha in Your Mirror" and see what you think.

So you are after a made to order God,who are you to try to tell God the rules as if you had some sort of authority to judge God! Yet the true God of the Bible is just and fair and he does love men and women equaly but he has given them each different roles After all Man was created first then the Woman. God does have the right to chose people that he favours and he favours those who favour him with obedience and who want to get to know him! Is it not true that you, are drawn to others who are kind or understanding to you? Or would you really say that you are drawn to those that show you no respect and belittle you and maybe even mock you to your face I doubt that? So how can you demand that from God? or demand that God accept everyone with anything they do. And that he should have no say what goes on on his planet that he made. Lets just say that you were a landlord and had tennants in your house, and if they were destroying that house and trying to tell you that you had no right to tell them what they were not to do in it would that be just in your mind then?or should I say would you love those tennants equally to those that looked after your house with care and even did some improvements on your house? Somehow I can't see that to be the case.

Are you looking for God or an organized religion?
God can be anything you want him to be. God is whatever you BELIEVE him to be.
If you're looking for an organized religion where you can find others who worship the same God in which you believe, then start your own church because every religion with a history will apparently not meet your standards. It's pretty harsh to judge religions on what they did a thousand years ago when things in the world were just a bit different.

You are describing the God we all have. you have been reading that book the bible haven't you? That book was written by men and then re-translated many more times by man. The books contained in the accepted bible were chosen over 400 years after Jesus died. Many books (letters)were omitted because they were not suitable according to the catholic church. Bottom line ,sir, there is no such things as sin and hell. They are man made, not God made. There are many paths to God and He doesn't care which path we take. All the world's religions worship the same god just with different names.

While many people who professes Christianity, give a poor witness.
What you are looking for is in the Christian faith.
The Triune God is not sexist. Jesus died for men and women so that ALL would go to heaven. He discludes no one and treats everyone fairly.
With God there is no favortism. The first will become last.
The Bible talks about slavery and tells us to treat them pretty much like family. It explains that we treat them with the respect they deserve.
