All the commandments are disregarded because men love darkness rather than light. But remember there is away to be forgiven and thats only through Jesus and repent of your sins.No one can keep the law thats why Jesus came he said i came to fullfill the law.Its by grace are we saved by faith and not of ourselves. The ten commandments speaks directly to a mans conscience and makes us guilty before a righteous and holy God but God sent his son Jesus to pay the pentalty for us at calvary. If we are willing to turn from our sins he just and faithful to forgive use.We can be forgiven but have to face the consequences for our actions if a man or woman commits such and act and ends up with aides or sexual transmitted diseases then they are going to suffer for their wrong behaviour, and not only that but the person involved as well.It effects those around him or her as well. Think of the shame and humiliation they face and if they have children the disgrace to the family. Many other issues get involed when one is guilty of breaking this one. Most lose their reputation and influence of their surrounding area of living. Not everyone is forgiving .God forgives and we should too but unfortunate not, people hold it against you and its like a ink spot on a white shirt that you cant get out.It fades away through time but its still there. Not in the eyes of God but with man.For man looks on the out side but God looks on the heart. If one is guilty of this act of adultry remmeber what Jesus did with the lady that was caught. He forgave her and said go and sin no more.Others words "STOP SINNING " The way is only through Jesus Christ and the blood he shed for you and me.I hope anyone who stuggles with the act of adultry with take a deep look into their heart and come to Christ for their hope and deliverance.I love you and God does too.

Yes, most often by people joined in the "Holy" bonds of Christian-based matrimony that can only happen between a man and a woman.

Hmm, if they can't be "married" in the Christian sense, I suppose homosexuals cannot commit adultery, right?

pssst. news flash. there are no 10 commandments. god is not in the commandment business. who would he command? the same souls that he created for the express purpose of giving them free choice so that they could experience and re-create themselves(and thereby god himself)?

the passage in the bible is probably true, but it was not actually god who did all the "magic tricks". these were performed by the same watchers who did the plagues, hid their spacecraft in a pillar of fire, spoke with powerful loudspeakers, focused (laser?) light on bushes, parted large bodies of water, etc. arthur clarke said that it is impossible to tell the difference between sufficiently advanced technology and magic. the newly freed jews needed guidance to build their society so it was given.

there are, however, ten committments. think about it. the ten "commandments" are important for a society who chooses not to decay into utter hedonism. a moral person does not need to be told what they are because they stem from two spiritual concepts: love god, love your neighbor as yourself.

that's all, folks.

Disregarded by who? Not by God. Jesus even said, "You have heard it said before, thou shalt not commit adultry, but I say to you, anyone who looks at another person with lust has committed adultry in their heart." So I am not sure from what source you are getting this from, secular society, yes then I would agree that this commandment as well as all of the commandments have been disregarded.

Many Christians are obsessed with the "sin" of homosexuality for the simple reason that they are not homosexuals. I've always thought this over-the-top fixation on gays is a smokescreen to hide their adulterous feelings.

What about "Do not kill"?

Probabaly the most important one.

But y'know wars are okay, everyone needs a gun, the death penalty is a deterrent.

Stem cell research? no, that's killin', that's wrong....we're not gonna fund that, let's research some new bombs instead...

um?!?!

I would say MOST of the commandments have been tossed away for lust of the flesh. It's what's wrong with the world. However, I think it's suppose to happen like this............you know Revelations and all.
