If you have no education on the subject then don't try and defend it or go against it. On certain subjects that are subjectable, such as the soft sciences, or opinions on them, at least be familiar with experts in the field and have legitamate rebuttles. It irritates me so. If you're ignorant, then don't waste another's time by making a weak point.

Maybe its just me but I seem to be reading a lot of questions on here that involve angry muslim people bashing other groups or making racial comments. I do not believe any one is particuarly bad. However, when you are making comments in such an angry hateful manner do you ever stop and wonder....hmmm??? I wonder why the world has an image of our religion / group being a hate filled one? For those of you out there leaving racists / hateful comments out there...stop acting like you are so oppressed and think to yourself maybe you are the ones giving the religion a bad name by your own hatred.
Why cant everyone just live by a simple practice of being a good and peaceful person. Treat others the way you want to be treated and let all of the hateful bullsh** go. Seriously people GET OVER IT. Does it seriously matter what religion you are? Just be a freaking decent human being!By this comment I am in no way bashing islam, only the people whom give it a bad rep.

I am not dying or going to die (just yet) or anything but the thought terrifies me. What can I do to gain a calm acceptance of the inevitable?

After reading a few questions and answers on this forum, I get the impression that this is what many people believe, people should look at themselves first, and black people who think so need to get out more;, when some parents of other groups forbid their children to date interracially, especially with black people, and when they try, it creates conflict, some even get thrown out of the house, get cut off ;this still happens (even if in more subtle ways).Sometimes it is an understanding, people know exactly what they can and cannot 'bring home'. sometimes their families only warm up to them only when children are born. This happens with the Asains in my country, how could our heritage be so mixed(as one person said) yet we are so against it?

If there are so many wonderful ideas out there on how to improve today's society and majority of people understand this and believe it, why then is it sometimes like pulling teeth to get people to the right thing? This is not even religion based question, it mainly has to do with the lack of compassion and understanding of humanity. Why does the phrase "every man for himself" even exists?

why bother with the ark at all?

one must wonder about a God who reportedly does one thing and then arranges every bit of evidence to make it look like something else happened. It's entirely possible that a global flood occurred 4000 years ago or even last Thursday, and that God subsequently erased all the evidence, including our memories of it. But even if such stories are true, what's the point?"

We see all these posts on who is the biggest troll, who is most likely to . I'd like to know who people see as the most respectful. If possible...pick someone whose beliefs vary from yours. And why?

I'd pick Pangel. Every time I read one of her replies, whether I agree with it or not, she has something uplifting to say. Thanks Pangel!

Why do evangelists tell me I'm going to hell? I ask them this, and the only answer I'll get is that "the Bible says so". Why should I believe in it just because it's in the Bible?

there's just a creator of the universe.
jesus buddha vishnu jehovah and allah/mohammed are not god
they are demgogues.
this is not conjecture and I am not a hater.
I am telling you that these "beings" are not your creator. they have no power over you.
you are free to deal with your existence as you choose. no one is going to judge after you die. wake up! your soul's evolution is a matter between you and the universe/creator not some demogogue that claims to have the keys to your salvation. this planet would benefit more from education and economic parity then any damn "there'll be a better tomorrow when I die" religion will ever cough up.

don't you feel a little stupid bowing to a wall in a city?? that wall is not going to do a thing for you. don't you feel stupid worshiping a "god" that says you should kill the disbelievers?? don't you feel stupid worshiping a god that claims only it will deliver your soul and all others won't? think!!! be your glorious human selves!!

what wrong with Aquinas' argument here? ."....It is therefore, impossible for God to cause anyone to sin. Again, good cannot be the cause of evil. But sin is an evil for man......It is therefore, impossible for God to be the cause for anyone's sinning....Further more, every fault stems from some deficiency in the proximate agent, but not from the influence of the first agent. Thus the fault of the limping stems from the condition of the leg bone, and not from the motive power. For whatever perfection of motion is still apparent in the limping comes from that. But the proximate agent of human sin is the will. The defect of sin, therefore, comes from the will of man, and not from God who is the prime agent. Whatever pertain to the perfection of action in the act is, nevertheless, from him"

the last sentence here, would seem to allude to our merits (like ur a good swimmer whatever)

I've had it with the freewill conundrum, lol
