For anyone wondering I do mean the Christian bible. I have read places it says that God wants us to obey Him and believe in Him but where does it say anything about a relationship with Him? People are always talking about God wants to have a relationship with people.

This past week or so I have been asking about Jesus and the things he helped create. A lot of people have shot me down with such answers as "Jesus didn't create anything, God did" and God is the almighty creator not Jesus. But when I read Genesis 1:26 God states "Let US make man in OUR image" Surely he/she is refering to Jesus helping him/her? Which means Jesus did in fact help make creation? Or was God talking to himself/herself?........

Most kids today are disrespectful, obnoxious, too grown for their own good, lazy, etc.

What do you think is causing this? Is it all the working mothers? Is too many people with negative views of corporal punishment? Is it too much state involvement in child rearing? Is it the media, video games,and Music? What's causing all these disrespectful little brats?

When I was a kid all the kids in the neighborhood were outside playing and interacting with each other learning social skills and getting fresh air. We read books, created games, used our imaginations. We were scared when we heard of violence, we didn't search for it on TV and video games. We got scrapes, scratches and broken bones and our parents were never accused of abuse by the emergency room nurses. We got spankings by mom, dad, and your next door neighbor if you didn't want to listen. We worked for allowance and not just get money handed to us, that is if we even got allowance. I miss the old days.

Where can I get detailed information about Black Magic and Voodoo Spells?
I'm not interested in poorly done websites or warnings. So far all I've been reading started with don'ts and that it will come back to me three times its worth. So what if I'm willing to venture myself to it?

Always prejudge other people that are not followers and "assume" they are evil, wicked, going to their "hell" and _______ here is a blank you can fill with all things else. They are more pushy and regimental than "regular" sects of Christianity. Does anyone know why this is? I'm not making fun of anyone's beleifs by the way, these have just been my unfortunate experiences. I am just looking for understanding. Thanks.

Did they not judge me as a moron and stupid by a question I asked and then in the next sentence quote the part of the bible that they in fact, just broke?

Cracks me up when they do that... anyone else got good examples of this kind of thing?

I'm just so curious and totally baffled by much of these Catholic practices. I appreciate all who answered my previous question about Mary, I'm just curious as to how that practice originated. I believe that confession is really healthy for the soul, and am just curious to find out more about how that works.

SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE! I'm not trying to attack your faith, I'm just trying to find out more about it. I was baptized Catholic, confirmed Episcopalian, saved at an FCA event, and have attended/worked at a Presbyterian, Methodist, and Episcopal church. I got the protestant thing down pat. Thanks!

I guess I just have this thing about simple rules and laws. On my morning commute, as usual the traffic was backed up to Hell's Half-Acre on the I-15..
Well, this huge Ford Expedition decided to get over..not in front of me..but INTO my space..no turn signal, nothing..I honked once, but she continued to do it. At that point, I decided I was not going to give in. I would normally let someone over if they had their signal on. She had a ciggarette in one hand and talking on her cell phone with the other hand..I guess steering with her elbow?? So, I refused to budge and just kept my horn on for about 30 seconds until she gave up. When I continued past, she yelled at me in Spanish and gave me the finger. I just waved and smiled back. What would you have done? I drive a Toyota Corolla and I always signal..and wave when someone lets me over.
The rest of the time, she was behind me, all worked up on the phone and trying to eat a McSandwich or something in addition to everything. Just crazy.
