For example... I've had "You're such a MORON... You must be stupid to ask this question! Judge not lest you be judged!"

Did they not judge me as a moron and stupid by a question I asked and then in the next sentence quote the part of the bible that they in fact, just broke?

Cracks me up when they do that... anyone else got good examples of this kind of thing?

I love it when Christians get all riled up like that.

It just shows how meaningless to them that their religion is.

Remember, being Christian isn't actually about being a good person. It's about thinking that you are better than others who aren't like you and it gives them a reason to thumb your noses at and look down on them. The funny thing is.. all the while these same Christians do the exact same 'sins' that non-believers do.... they just are better than us because they 'pray about it'.

Riiiiiiiiiiight.

I am a Christian and I have also noticed such wrath. In truth, the Christian is off his "rocker of faith" when he engages in such strifes of words. Friend, I hope that you can look into the Bible as being a perfect standard which imperfect Christians endeavor to follow to glorify God. Though no man can say that he has fully achieved pefection, each Christian strives towards it.

Jame 1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Needless to say, all Christians still have room for maturing.

>>>"You're such a MORON... You must be stupid to ask this question! Judge not lest you be judged!" <<<

This is the type of thing that atheists constantly -- and I mean constantly -- say to Christians on this board.

Yet you only get upset at it when ONE Christian does it.

Selective indignation. That's what this is called.

Not on Yahoo answers but this made me smile.
There used to be a programme on British TV called "Stars on Sunday". where people wrote in with requests to hear their favourite hymns . Sometimes sung by celebrities. The presenter was a rather avuncular old bloke called Jess Yates .
They had a programme of "Outtakes" one night which included a clip from this programme. There was Jess Yates sat at a pulpit, complete with candles , saying something like "And we have had a request from Mrs. Jones from Neasden to hear Onward christian soldiers " in his typical lukewarm vicar like way then he is seen shuffling frantically through some papers... then he looks up and growls "Oh where the bloody hell is it then !"

I'm a christian and let me tell you, God is going to deal with them
just as he is going to judge you for mucking his people.
hey don't sweat it we all make mistakes.
I'm human, are you?

this is for the Christians that gives bad names to the rest
Matthew5:13(you are the salt of the earth. but if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? it is no longer
good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by man.)
also Matthew:38-42.

Geez, I don't know what kind of question you asked, but nothing deserves that type of reponse. If God is love, which he is and he wants others to believe on him, which he does, then where does anyone carrying his name get away with offending others. I have spoken the truth on many subjects before and been ridiculed for it, but there is no place for name calling.

It bothers me. When I see other's that call themselves Christian say things like that I try to show them the error in their ways because that isn't helping God's cause at all. Some just need help in their walk. It is never funny to see someone else fall in their walk with Christ.

Some people use religion to gain statice with there pears they are trying to impress. They are not true to the religion they are claming to be a part of. These are the people that give the particular faith they are portraying a bad name. it is very sad.

Don't look at Christianity by what people have done under the Christian name, but look at what Jesus has done in the Bible. just because there are people who label themselves Christians and do not act like Christ, does not mean they are true Christians.

It never makes me happy to see or hear people call others "morons" and "stupid." I always admire well-considered arguments, even if I disagree with the arguer's conclusions.
