Church is not required to be a Christian...HOWEVER...in order to really grow as a Christian and to be encouraged and affirmed...A good church family is without a doubt needed.

Yes but the real question can you still be a good christian if you attend church. Considering how often the church has encouraged evil. I think that it is a lot easier to be good if you are an atheist. You don't get confused by talking animal books telling you slavery is justified, witches should be burned, humans deserve to be tortured for eternity, homosexuals should be stoned to death, and other assorted beliefs commonly associated with christianity.

To be a good Christian does't mean that you should attend church all time.It has only to do with you. What you feel!If you feel the need to go to church you should do it,else if this idea does not attract you can pray and believe without being there. If you asked me to say in a few words what i believe, A good christian is the one who has church "inside him".Also,i believe that the first thing you should do(to be a good christian) is to help other people with their problems and care about them!

Being a Christian is not just about how often you attend church, but what kind of a person you are. Do you reflect God or Christ's teaching? Do you apply what you have learned from Christ? Do you communicate with Christ?

Some people who have no access to a church are still spiritual because of their personal relationship with Christ.

Church is a palce to feel closer, like a sanctuary. God's house. I go when I can. However, my relationship with the Lord is strong and constant with or without church. He is with me.

Yes, if you are disabled, sick or too old or frail to attend. You could watch Christian TV or listen to Christian radio, read your bible and pray. If you can go to church, you are a Christian, then you need to go on a regular basis. The bible says, not to forsake the assembling of yourselves together with other believers and even more so as you see the day approaching.

Yes you can be a good Christian without attending church. Your relationship with God and Jesus do not depend on anyone or anything but you and your heart.

you could be a Christian with out attending church. you'll locate that friendship with others who trust is extra useful on your growing as a Christian. you received't come across a church of ideal Christians everywhere. you'll locate some that look extra loving and worrying, yet there'll continuously be those who attend that are nevertheless immature in living the existence. in case you seem heavily at your question, you'll locate you too are being judgmental. we ought to forgive one yet another for being shortsighted. per chance calling interest to this things you locate offensive, executed in a loving and understanding way, would cause them to conscious of the right result they're having on you and human beings. which could teach that you adore and care about them as well. improve and forgiveness shared all round. you could seem elsewhere, in the journey that they insist on continuing their recommendations. more effective church homes grant a particular degree of anonymity, even with the undeniable fact that the smaller ones grant extra in words of service and improve..

I would say yes. Far too many "good christians" go to church on sunday, or saturday, then treat others like crap. I have met non-religious types who are more christian than christians

there's just a creator of the universe.
everything else is open to conjecture.
jesus buddha vishnu jehovah and allah/mohammed are not god
they are demgogues.

if we closed their temples dedicated to our subservience, we would find our true selves as private intelligent beings. our wars would largely end and we could own our future. until we remove the shackles of religion and these demogogues from our planet we are as nothing but sheep (just like the 'bible' makes clear)

we will not advance or improve.

this is not conjecture and I am not a hater.
I am telling you that these "beings" are not your creator. they have no power over you.
you are free to deal with your existence as you choose. no one is going to judge after you die. wake up! your soul's evolution is a matter between you and the universe/creator not some demogogue that claims to have the keys to your salvation. this planet would benefit more from education and economic parity then any damn "there'll be a better tomorrow when I die" religion will ever cough up.

don't you feel a little stupid bowing to a wall in a city?? that wall is not going to do a thing for you. don't you feel stupid worshiping a "god" that says you should kill the disbelievers?? don't you feel stupid worshiping a god that claims only it will deliver your soul and all the other religions can go to hell? think!!! be your glorious human self!!

Sure, but you'd be better off going to church. Kinda like this, you can practice basketball all day long in your backyard and be as good as a player on a team. But say, i bet the player on a real basketball team, improves much faster.
