If you have no education on the subject then don't try and defend it or go against it. On certain subjects that are subjectable, such as the soft sciences, or opinions on them, at least be familiar with experts in the field and have legitamate rebuttles. It irritates me so. If you're ignorant, then don't waste another's time by making a weak point.

Ah- You would deny people the chance to expand their knowledge and horizons simply because they weren't up to par?!! If we could only discuss/debate issues in which we were confirmed experts or educated in, we'd be a sad lot indeed.
Those wonderful, brilliant philosophers like Plato, Socrates and Aristotle learned by in-depth discussions as well as having a keen eye for humanity.
You may want to take your frustration tolerance system in for a check-up. I'd also ask them to check your ego, it's running a bit too fast. And also have them check your compassion levels, they might be a tad on the low side.
Lastly, I'm sorry to point out that you are disqualified from discussing or debating anything having to do with writing or spelling. Seems you're just not well versed enough in these areas.

The best thing you can do is kindly correct their misconception. By insulting them or shouting at them you improve nothing, but if you kindly point out their failure in logic they will most likely not make the same mistake again. This way the next time they debate someone they will pose more of a challenge to them and they will both learn more from the experience.

An opinion is just that, an opinion. It does not reqire a degree, or a certain level of what you would call intelligence. I have all the expertise I need, based on my own personal life experiences. Who are you to say that is not good enough? You are not the one I choose to give my answer to, except for today. If you were to ask a question here, it would be as though you were asking for advice, everyone here knows and understands that. And if you aren't willing to accept anyones advice, then why bother coming here and wasting OUR time and effort, why bother asking a question at all?

You're right.. ppl are stupid. a lot of times ppl don't sit down and think through their own questions logically.. ppl like being fed an answer that they can immediately agree wtih or reject, depending on how it sounds to them..
but few ppl think through something, and it is annoying.

the worse ppl are either newly found athetists or religious ppl who don't really know why they're in that religion, and then when you ask them a real question, they get angry at you because they don't know the answer.

it is exasperating

Honestly. Because stupid people think they are smart. They think they have knowledge on a subject when really they have no idea. I am right there with you. I have found it very hard to live in this world because everyone I encounter is pretty much just a lesser person than I. My advise, become anti-social.

Well excuuuuuse the hell out of me, Einstein. But, last I checked, people can voice their opinions if they like. While most don't have "education on the subject", many could still make a valid point.

My question is why do so many people use Answers to ask rhetorical questions?????

this is the way your looking at it, your debating what someone believes, however theyve never looked at it from your view or questioned their beliefs as you are. to truly debate you must argue your own point to gain a better understanding of what your arguing. you can not argue about a topic you dont know (which is why i mainly stick to athiest/christian debate) but i agree with you i cant stand people who make invalid points due to ignorance.

Speaking of stupid people...I think you meant "subjective" when you said "subjectable" and "rebuttals" when you said "rebuttles".

It should be spelled rebuttle though. What a great word.

Hmmm...not sure I'm qualified to answer. I've never earned a degree in debate, nor stupidity for that matter...uh-oh. I guess you need to instruct me for indeed this is a weak point.

Lighten up, friend. We're all here to learn from one another and all have both formal and experiential expertise in a wide range of areas. Do you need a hug?

because everyone thinks their opinion is important. Everyone of us feels the need to be heard and understood. Doesn't always matter whether we make sense, the good thing is that an interest has been ignited.
