Maybe its just me but I seem to be reading a lot of questions on here that involve angry muslim people bashing other groups or making racial comments. I do not believe any one is particuarly bad. However, when you are making comments in such an angry hateful manner do you ever stop and wonder....hmmm??? I wonder why the world has an image of our religion / group being a hate filled one? For those of you out there leaving racists / hateful comments out there...stop acting like you are so oppressed and think to yourself maybe you are the ones giving the religion a bad name by your own hatred.
Why cant everyone just live by a simple practice of being a good and peaceful person. Treat others the way you want to be treated and let all of the hateful bullsh** go. Seriously people GET OVER IT. Does it seriously matter what religion you are? Just be a freaking decent human being!By this comment I am in no way bashing islam, only the people whom give it a bad rep.

This was in no way inteded to stir up anything. Just stating how I feel. Also in no way was this inteded to bash islam or its followers. I have plenty of muslim friends that are peaceful people. I am simply stating there are bad ones out there that give it a bad name and then act as though they are being oppressed. Granted yes there are "bad ones" in every group. I just found this issue particuarly annoying today....Thanks....BTW I am not athiest. I believe in god. I just do not chose to be a part of any given group. Why pigeon hole yourself just to belong to a group? Just believe there is a god and be a good person. yada yada yada...my opinion is making no difference here lol.

I'm not an atheist - but there's just a creator of the universe.
everything else is open to conjecture.
jesus buddha vishnu jehovah and allah/mohammed are not god
they are demgogues.

if we closed their temples dedicated to our subservience, we would find our true selves as private intelligent beings. our wars would largely end and we could own our future. until we remove the shackles of religion and these demogogues from our planet we are as nothing but sheep (just like the 'bible' makes clear)

we will not advance or improve.

this is not conjecture and I am not a hater.
I am telling you that these "beings" are not your creator. they have no power over you.
you are free to deal with your existence as you choose. no one is going to judge after you die. wake up! your soul's evolution is a matter between you and the universe/creator not some demogogue that claims to have the keys to your salvation. this planet would benefit more from education and economic parity then any damn "there'll be a better tomorrow when I die" religion will ever cough up.

don't you feel a little stupid bowing to a wall in a city?? that wall is not going to do a thing for you. don't you feel stupid worshiping a "god" that says you should kill the disbelievers?? don't you feel stupid worshiping a god that claims only it will deliver your soul and all the other religions can go to hell? think!!! be your glorious human selves!!

There does seem to be a lot of bashing from all sides.

(I see more bashing OF Muslims, than bashing BY Muslims -- but there are so many questions, each person sees only a small sub-set.)

When you see bashing, report the abuser. If it isn't obvious from the top-level question, copy and paste the whole question into the abuse report.

This is a safe place to bash, as there are no real consequences -- unless you keep getting reported and get blocked from the system. That's why it's important for everyone who opposes bashing to Report.

i have noticed this to be a forum for bashing. not just by muslims, not just by racists, but by woman haters, man haters, homophobes, christian haters, broccoli haters, prime rib haters. our world has become a hateful place. everyone seems to think that "do unto others" (as a world wide phrase) is a one way street when in fact "an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." i'm sure the people you speak of are defensive. i'm also sure that defensive comes from offensive. people need to study one another and celebrate our differences not talk trash on a certain group based on the actions of a small handfull. it's rediculous to say you hate eggs when you've only had them sunny side up, cause you're missing out on frozed custard.

I understand your point of view and appreciate it. We are all in this together, and spiritually no one is different.

But I disagree based on these couple of fundamental points:

First I believe there is an accountability and a judgement to come, and that doing good and evil will be judged but in that arena absolutely everyone except 1 person will be found falling short. But there is another way out of the consequences of such a failure.

Secondly I believe that there is evil, and that it is pervasive not only in people but also in supernatural beings that influence, trick and destroy people. Good and evil are truly in conflict.

mHere here..this site is supposed to be fun. It is a shame that every other question is a Muslin bashing a Jew or a Christian bashing a Atheist and vice versus..."can't we all just get along?"...that's my question???

The only answer is to keep the fun tongue and cheek wuestions coming in order to make the angry folks the minority...every now and then you can through in a serious issue, but nothing that is going to cause a riot...just spark some intelligent conversation.

Good Luck

I agree.

What tend to flame me is when idiots ask a question about the faith and then they pick an answer that does nothing but bash our faith like this one here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvZTqeO6qPmH3l52lmGXLdfsy6IX?qid=20060829131456AAGPzWR

It is not just the people of faith who act like this, it is also the people of no faith.

I guess what it boils down to is that some people are just so frustrated others who claim to be apart of other groups that they can only express themselves by bashing them.

It shows little maturity, and a lot about their intelligence.

Oh wait ... now I AM DOING IT!!! yikes!

I understand how you feel. I actually come to this section to help people learn the truth about spiritual things, and hopefully guide them away from God and religion altogether so they can lead happier lives.

You should see some of the vulgar perverted sickening replies I receive from religious people, but then I understand that these people suffer from mental illness and lack of intelligence, and so, perhaps their behaviour, although irrational, has a rational explanation. I hope the following helps ease your pain and suffering.

Atheists are more intelligent than religious believers.

My own observation and analysis of the various posters on Yahoo Answers clearly reveals that Atheists are without any doubt, far more intelligent, thought provoking, and capable of holding sensible debate compared to their religious counterparts.

My private research studies indicate that religious people tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. This also seems to be supported by profiling various YA religious posters.

Science suggests that religion is a mental illness and that religious people act irrationally because they are genetically predisposed to the “religious or spiritual” gene. Statistics indicate that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god.

In general terms, this summarises as Atheists are intelligent and religious people suffer from madness.

I believe most of them are trolls.

I also believe that those who are bashed bash back. In other words, I think they're just fighting back.

But after a few months out here, I'm pretty tired of it. I don't even find the bickering all that funny anymore. We simply have to learn to ignore it.

Actually your religion determines what happens after you die, and some people don't want others to be sad after they die, which gets confused with racism, and then people start hating the so-called "racists," which means that if you try to help people, they will hate you. Wierd. Not saying that islam is good or anything, I'm just defending the undeservedly named "racists."
