there's just a creator of the universe.
jesus buddha vishnu jehovah and allah/mohammed are not god
they are demgogues.
this is not conjecture and I am not a hater.
I am telling you that these "beings" are not your creator. they have no power over you.
you are free to deal with your existence as you choose. no one is going to judge after you die. wake up! your soul's evolution is a matter between you and the universe/creator not some demogogue that claims to have the keys to your salvation. this planet would benefit more from education and economic parity then any damn "there'll be a better tomorrow when I die" religion will ever cough up.

don't you feel a little stupid bowing to a wall in a city?? that wall is not going to do a thing for you. don't you feel stupid worshiping a "god" that says you should kill the disbelievers?? don't you feel stupid worshiping a god that claims only it will deliver your soul and all others won't? think!!! be your glorious human selves!!

The best motive is love: love for God, and love for neighbor.

(Matthew 22:37-40) “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

Your concept of religion and people of faith is way off target.

I "follow my religion" because I am utterly astonished and humbled by the Lord and what He has done. As an engineer and inventor, I have a lot of insight (for a human being) into how He does some of the least of the things that He does, and those are so astounding that I am left completely in awe of Him and the bigger things which I can't even begin to grasp.

Yep, this planet would benefit so much from removing such religious nonsense fable-based mythology. We could finally have a humanist secular world government full of equality and human rights, like the ones led by the recent great humanist leaders such as Robespierre, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, -- oh wait, they murdered most of their contrymen and attacked everyone around them. Who was I thinking of then? Must have been at least one, right? Funny they don't come to mind...

Not being hatefull, just speaking the truth. You should learn more about both sides of the question before spouting off about it.

Well, i guess this is one more piece in this confused puzzle that the human being is in. My friend why you question God or other Gods, Why to look at for a showing or Why you try to tell us what to do or think. I think you need to go back and read your books. Anybody is free of thinking whatever they want to think or believe. And you choose yours. You do not understand anything about God. Soul evolution? What is the soul, what is in the soul? Soul was made for you to keep your feelings in and God is not a God of feelings and emotions. So i do not understand why you preach your soul. Use your spirit, the spirit was made for you to talk to God only, only. God is a God of Love and order, if you are not strong enough to follow him well let us do it and do not judge us.

I don't understand why something that gives someone else comfort, offends you so?! You've admitted there is a creator of the universe. It's not that big a leap to allow that "Creator" to claim your heart. It's called faith and it's been given to me by God. He's trying to give it to you too. Just receive it and be at peace. My relationship with God is very personal so, no, I don't feel stupid singing His praises. I feel blessed that He has given me so much. I am glorious in His light, thank you for reminding me!

Buddha is no god. Buddhists have never claimed he is a god. We don't worship him foe he was mearly a man that taught us a way to live in which we could end our sufferings through meditation and kind actions. You really should research a religion before you generalize about it.

oh wow! i can't believe how silly-minded us billions of ppl have been. we've just been waiting for you, Thetruth, to enlighten us on how we've been so stupid to believe and worship as we have.

Thanks! can you imagine if i hadn't been on yahoo!answers to read Thetruth?!!! oh gosh.. and how will all the billions of other ppl find out who aren't in front of the computer right now? ooh! and how about all the billions of ppl who have lived and died before today? yikes.. who's gonna tell them?

Please.. are you serious? Just because you don't believe in something, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. It's the same argument that closing your eyes makes the world go away.

Ppl have darn good reasons why (and who) they believe in. I hope you don't believe your question here is making any difference.

i sounds like you need help. God /Jehova the almighty creator is true and real. You must be searching for the truth or you wouldn't have made such comments. Ask God to send you someone in person to answer your questions. You must be talking to religous people ,who are not neccesarily a true Christian believer.

I follow my religion because I know that God exists and he love us every much and he wants the best for us and he has helped me with my life and gave me hope and joy.

You haven't yet know yr creator because you haven't seeked him. Why not pray to him and ask him to show you the way? It wont hurt you anyway. Or are you scared that he just might answer you?

I know many people who follow their religion because they believe if they don't they'll be destroyed.

I believe what I believe not because of that, but because I believe it. I need no fear to make me believe. Fear of God is pointless.
