im so confused about religion. i grew up being told that god loves everyone and hearing all the cute little stories from the bible and all of that stuff. now as an adult i tried reading the bible and it seems so different then what they teach you as a kid. the bible seems scary and its full of killing, sacraficing animals, and it just seems like there is so much hate in it. it threatens with burning in hell and it doesnt seem like someone who loved us all so much would do those kinds of things. we are suppose to be his children i know no matter how much i betrayed my parents they wouldnt set me on fire. im just so confused. and the gay thing why would god make some one gay and then send them to hell for it? and you cant say being gay is a choice because they have done studies and there is actually something different in their brains. i went from being little and hearing all those wonderful things about it to being an adult and trying to read the bible only to find out god seems mean

In every religion there is a god. Is it possible that it is all the same god but he shows himself in a way that will be accepted by that person? Is it possible that there is only one god for all the people, they just call him different names? i.e.Allah, Budda, Jesus...

My friend has s situation she needs your answers. This guy has been calling her for a long time and she can't seem to get rid of him. One day he called and in frustration she mentioned he was not a thoughtful person (trying to discourage him from calling). She also mentioned she was out of groceries (meaning she would be getting groceries in a few days). He arrived one evening unannounced with $60 worth of groceries. She hesitated to let him in, but finally did. She hesitated about putting the groceries in the kitchen, letting them sit there for an hour before doing so. They talked for a while then he left. Days later he called again and immediately accused her of using him, taking his groceries and said now she "owes" him. .......The question is: Since she didn't ask for any groceries, is this a gift or should she repay him? She could not return them to him (he lives an hour away) and she didn't want to invite him over to pick them up. What should she do?

For instance in ancient times G-d told the Israelites to attack, and they attacked. Why should there be a different standard for Muslims or anyone today?

I was in a relationship with a wonderful girl. For some reason, I left. She is all I can think about now. We were together for 3 years before I ended it. We live 80 miles apart now but were living together. I now have a steady job and steady paycheck coming in. We have started talkin again and now she is always askin me for money and to help her pay her bills. I do this without any problems. Do yall think there is a chance we will work things out or is she just after my money now?

I always, wondered about it, since i heard it. I remember when this young girl died in a car accident and half of her head was cut off by the metal of the car. For I think one week, they slept with her all in one bed and then buried her in there back yard! Now either mormons are freaks, or these people need help! just wondering no worries, or I'm not trying to be mean about it, just somethin I was wondering about.

If you believe the bible how do you react to such preaching of hate in the name of Christ?

I see people saying homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry, to adopt kids, drive cars. People (like Bush and Pope Benny) saying stem cell research is wrong, etc...

Doesn't the bible teach you to turn the other cheek and forgive and love everyone? How arrogant to think y ou know God's will (if he exists) What kind of forgiveness is

"I forgive you, but you're a bad person, and will go to hell unless you accept J.C. and the boys"

First I'm a Christian. I have a traditional Christian up bringing and I do view Catholics as Christians too..I just didn't want any to feel excluded.

My questions is about Mormons. I have always have been told by many that they are a Christian cult because of the book of Mormon etc..and a variety of reasons.

And I really hate to feel this way about them.

I know several, I've never really had a deep discussion about religious beliefs but I know they are very good and honest people.

Is there any way there could ever be any unity with them...or is the divide too wide?
When they have come to my door I'm always very nice to them and they are really very polite and seem to have a real relationship with the Lord...they have the fruits of Christians...I know some of you are about to jump down my throat..but I was just wondering..

your thoughts........everyone..Moron etc...your thought's as well

The ancient Druids would sacrifice animals to their god(s). But I realized something, What good is it to offer the blood of another? would it not be better to offer one's own blood? Personally the rituals I partake in never involve blood and my religion is against it. But wouldn't a let of one's own essence be a greater offering to the gods?

Seems like that would disrupt a church service pretty good, not to mention the insult to God by relying on secular medicine instead of divine healing.
