Qualified white males who had nothing to do with what happened the last generation or generations before are being told to put their lives on hold and let "others" thrive. Is this simply revenge? Why should people today suffer for crimes committed centuries ago? Should it be called Affirmative Racism?

well i think it evens out in all races.
but i think black guys are more scared to come out more than other races myself.

Do we just refer to it by a simple English term "difficult oil fields" or there is another term that I am not aware?

Please excuse my ignorance, I just noticed that some people say that they were saved by "Gods grace alone". What does that really mean? I've also seen a few people state that "God didn't have to save me, he condescended to do so." Can anyone help me understand?

i signed a lease recently when a family emergency occured and my mom has to live with me for an undeterminate period of time.
Since management here usually want to put down every resident's name on the lease, i am thinking of telling them that she is a guest... how to manage this? any help out there? I live in oregon

I was waiting for the bus today, and while waiting, I had just returned from selling back some of my college textbooks, and I was in a hurry and just shoved the money in my pocket all wadded up. Well, I was waiting for the bus at a park downtown, and had grabbed a soda and a hot dog from a local vendor in the park. A homeless man came up to me and asked if I could spare some money for him and his wife to get something to eat. I reached into my pocket, (knowing how much a hot dog and soda cost) and gave the man $5.00. He asked if I could spare a couple dollars MORE, (he saw how much money I had in my pocket and that I went through it to find a 5 dollar bill). He thanked me and told me that I would be rewarded and it would come back to me (karma) and that he would introduce me to his wife. He came back with his wife and introduced her to me. He then asked AGAIN for more money. I got irriated and said "hey, have you ever heard the term don't look a gift horse in the mouth?" (more)

I understand there is a bill that is trying to be passed that would make it a court-martial offense for servicemen and women to pray in the name of Jesus because it might offend someone of another faith. Of course praying in and of itself might be offensive to some so I guess next praying at all will get you court-martialed.

I am black and white. My father is white and my mother is light skinned. I look white. A large % people can't tell I'm part black at all. My father is a very successful businessman who beat my Mom and left when I was a child. I was raised by my Mom only so although I look white, culturally I am very black in a lot of ways. I have found it very hard getting ahead in the business world despite my father is on the board of directors at the largest corporation in the world. I have been told that I lack professionalism but I am very confused and personally I feel that the fact that I look caucasian but was raised by a black woman very much plays into how people judge me for work and otherwise. What do you guys think? This is the 2nd time I'm asking this because people didn't understand that I said I look white not mixed but my mother who is the only person I was around was black from Harlem

I am not bragging..........maybe a lil bit..

I am the apple of his eye...God spoils me like crazy. He is so in love with me..I can't believe it.

My heart is so full of his love...it's like a warm blanket on a cold night.

He is always there for me...all my friends tell me that I have the favor of the Lord in everything!

Here I am serving God now for 36 years now and he is still crazy over me!

My faith in him is overwhelming...2 weeks ago I ran out of gas on Rt 32 in Pike County Ohio...miles from the nearest gas station..it was getting dark and there was hardly any traffic..I sat that for a second and thought "Lord how are you going to get me out of THIS ONE...I waited for 1 minute and a lady stopped...a ministers wife..she was in a truck and just happended to have 4 gallons of gas in a can.

Then I got to minister to her for about 30 mintues..she was crying..because I gave her an answer she was praying about..WOW!

Is God good or what?
