On my surname back to 1570 or about 13 generations. On a collateral line we connect to Charlemagne, so with his ancestors it gets legendary.

When they left Newcastle, England in the 1800's for my father's side. My mother's side didn't keep any records, so we don't know much about her history.

I'm gonna assume theyre telling me the truth about it, and that they know the truth . .. .on mother's side only to great-grandparents, but my aunt might know more if i ever ask her, maybe she doesnt know .. . on father's side to great-grand on grandfather's side, on grandmother's father's side, to 7 generations back including self; and on her mother's side to 5 generations back including self
