because religions have rules and schedules. Like you have to do this this this and this at this time at this place and then you will get what you want. If you are a christian you don't really have to do anything but believe. Following the ten comandments will not get us into heaven. Believing the truth will.

It is. We don't like to think of it that way, because a "religion" is usually about following a set of rules and maybe a ritual or two thrown in. I don't think of myself as religious, because I was a sinner, and I confessed and turned from my sins, and asked Jesus to save me. I now try to live for Him. Christianity, statistically speaking, IS a religion, although many who count themselves as a part of it aren't saved.
Sorry if that's confusing. It's just that with all the negativity associated with religion, especially Christianity, it's good to draw the line, if there be one.

Christianity is the belief in Jesus Christ.
It's like Christianity is the state & the religions are the cities in the state.

Because Christianity is the believe in a higher being in this case being Christ, now there are several religions that do consider themselves Christians, which are Pentecostals, protestants, baptist, Methodist and as very few people know even catholics are considered Christians

It pretty much is, but what we call "religions" (e.g. Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, etc.) are basically just different views on Christianity. All these branches follow the Bible, they just interpret it differently. So, in response to your question, Christianity is a religion.

There are many denominations of Christianity: Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Methodist, Baptist - and scores of others. Each believes in Jesus as our Saviour, but some go about their church services in different ways than others. Christianity means anyone who believes that Jesus is Son of God, and died for our sins.

Religions are man made. Religion is man's attempt to reach God. True Christianity is about a relationship with Jesus Christ.

It is.............Are you responding to the "Lone Ranger" Christians who don't need "Religion" just "Jesus and me". They are wrong. Jesus is all about relationships and if you can't learn to love your neighbor or pew mate or fellow choir member or pastor or you name it, then you are not following Jesus Christ.
Jesus was also all about obedience and submission and the struggle for holiness. Which happens in relationship with other Christians.
Matthew 5:20
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
