Please excuse my ignorance, I just noticed that some people say that they were saved by "Gods grace alone". What does that really mean? I've also seen a few people state that "God didn't have to save me, he condescended to do so." Can anyone help me understand?
I'm sincerely curious. Thanks.

I am not sure what exactly the second statement is supposed to mean but the first is this :
God is perfect and cannot abide in the presence of sin, we are sinful and imperfect people. No matter how much 'good' stuff we do, no matter how much we strive and work, we will always fall short of the glory of God- we can never on our own achieve fellowship with God. God sees this, desires to have fellowship and makes a way for us- though He is perfect, completely holy and righteous, He made a way for us to reach Him because we could not on our own. There is no possible way we could ever earn this- He expects nothing from us except for complete trust in Him- there fore it is by His grace alone that we are saved and through no effort of our own.

Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we may have our sins forgiven. We can't pay the debt ourselves. Where people differ is the question of what is expected of us next? Is being forgiven enough? Should you act in accordance with Christ's teachings?

If we try to live the way the Savior taught critics see that as trying to earn salvation. So they emphasis over and over 'grace alone' like a mantra.

It has to do with the belief that all humans are flawed (sinners) and will always fall short of God's expectations, therefore, they are only saved because God, in his grace chooses to do so. What one does, how one behaves, how one lives always falls short, therefore one must depend on grace to be saved. The second part is essentially the same thing.

God's grace is the divine ability to get things done when we can't do it alone. I have be blessed to conquer many difficulties and "issues" in my life by virtue of God's grace alone, because I know I couldn't do it myself.

I don't understand your second expression myself. God doesn't condescend to do anything. God blesses us and loves us and wants only the best for us, so sometimes He saves our rearends and other times He allows difficulties to come against us so we can learn what He needs us to know in order to best serve Him, which we do by serving others.

Hope this helps. Be blessed.

Grace= God's Riches At Christs Expense!
This means that God sent Jesus to die in our place! The penalty for sin had to be paid and Christ paid it instead of us!
Because man is sinful they cannot save themselves therefore Jesus who is perfect became our sacrifice for sin!

once you've faith in God, meaning you manage God as a separate existence faraway from you and also you're looking for his opt for or help or what ever. after we are saying God is omnipotent or is continually there in each difficulty, this suggests he's interior me too. So logically, what ever he provides me, he will provide me from my interior. also I actual have an excellent faith in him, so for my good deeds, he can in no way provide me undesirable culmination. So I settle for what's the fruit of my deeds, undesirable or good does not be counted. in reality 'acceptance devoid of question and doubt', is more beneficial important. So my peace and happiness is outcome of his judgement about my deeds and my commonly used personality and my purity. So i do not choose any boon. fairly, my in simple terms duty is to paintings good or sensible and with minimum ego. i'm sensible that He shall provide me fruit on earnings of my deeds. i do not choose fabric advantages like wealth or vast domicile or sources and so on. If i'm thankfully getting devoid of call for, adequate bread and butter, for myself and my depending, it truly is boon given by using God. to provide each and each day bread and butter is his each and each day problem and therefore that's his situation not mine i do not difficulty for this nor do I intervene or propose or request him about 'giving of fruit' in go back. enable him difficulty about me, fairly of I difficulty about him. yet my chief duty is and could be, that I develop into and stay and behave in the form of fashion that he can not reject me. Now each man or woman atleast recognize, what God prefers. So his giving by using himself or although his grace, it does not be counted. enable or not that's totally sparkling, you adore him and he will continually love you.

Well. Those people are mistaken.

God's Grace is: "made the way" for salvation.

Jesus Christ is the way. period.

people all over the world have God's given Grace, "way" made and will never get it.

Good Q*.

It means that we are "saved" (or born again, redeemed, whatever you prefer) strictly through accepting his subsitutionary death on the cross for our sins. "By grace alone" means we don't earn our way to heaven, there's no steps we can take to earn enough favor in God's eyes to get there on our own. Rather, we simply accept his free gift, we turn our lives over to Christ and declare the truth that he is God made flesh, and has died for us, and rose again, proving He was who He said He was.

They believe that they were all born into sin and were "lost." Then, God by his mercy sent his son, Jesus, to the earth to die for their sins. Next, they believe that God performed human sacrifice of his son Jesus to make restitution for their sins....And, they believe that it is a free gift and cannot be earned by good works; they simply accept the free blood offering and they are cleansed of their sins....Therefore, they are saved by the grace of God, otherwise they believe that they would have been eternally lost and doomed to hell in their sin...Yikes!!!!

We have to ask for salvation. That salvation is offered through is grace since no human can live a life perfectly. You do have to sincerely repent and try to do better.
