I know someone who has not been confirmed by the Church yet and are too old to join a confirmation class, which are usually for teenagers. Is there a way to make it on the day before Easter. What do you have to do to make it on Easter vigil?

I'm the secretary for the Director of Religious Education at my local church. Your friend should contact his local Catholic Church. If your Catholic, and a practicing Confirmed Catholic, he could attend classes at your church and you could be his Sponsor. The classes he takes are called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initation for Adults). It usally takes two years and he would be confirmed at the Easter Virgil, but it depends on the Church that he takes the classes at and if he has already been baptized and has recieved First Eucharist. Usally the parish Priest, a Deacon, or the Director of Religious Education teaches the classes. At our church our Deacon teaches the classes. Now is the time that classes usally begin, so have him contact his or your church as soon as possible. Good Luck and God Bless

Your friend should contact his/her local parish preist. My younger sister had the same problem and the priest just met with her several times before confirmation and then she had her confirmation at the Easter Vigil. It is not a big deal and your priest will be more than happy to help. Not everyone making their confirmation will be a teenager, the converts will be recieving confirmation , baptism , confession and holy communion as well and they are adults.

The way I did it at age 39. . . through the RCIA process.

Your friend will need to contact the parish office and ask to speak with the director of adult formation. The classes generally run from mid-September through the Easter Vigil, one or two nights a month.

Great classes to attend, even for those who are "cradle Catholics".

Confirmation is when the teen becomes a soldier of God. The archbishop performs this ceremony. This is required before the Sacrament of Confession and Holy Communion. You should advise your friend to go see the parish priest . He might have classes for adults. Or could arrange it on an individual basis.

An adult gets confirmed in the Catholic church by attending RCIA classes, and the program is usually set up to where they can be confirmed on certain days (as well as baptised and making first communion if they hadn't yet).

Simply talk to the parish honestly about everything. Join the adult classes that are available.

Whoever this peron is,needs to talk with his/her priest. If not a regular attendant at Mass, look in phone book, and make an appointment with the priest;he can answer the questions!

You're never to old to take classes. There must be a parish nearby which teaches adult about the Catechism. Look around.

Come out of her, my people!
And I'm not a fundamentalist.
But I know that Mary is no longer a virgin, and God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, are not separate dieties or entities.
Jesus is GOD.
