Tell them they smell and that they are getting older much faster than the norm.

Next time you two go out into public together, make it a point to use a public bathroom, and when you come out, tell them that while you were in there, you heard some people talking about them...but tell them they called them ugly, or stupid, or smelly, or a fashion disaster...you get the idea.
