Yeah, it gets a weird smell after a while.

Goose down isn't worth it. Synthetics are lighter and warmer, and they launder.

Goose down is one of those things that have their own rep cuz they were fancy for years but now its too old fashioned.

At any point recently has your comforter gotten wet? It shouldn't be smelling that way and I suggest you take it to the dry cleaners and have it cleaned. Barring that, you may also hang it outside in strong sunshine for a couple of days. It may just need a good airing. Mine certainly do, but it's time for that anyways now. If it smells strongly, I would suggest you get it cleaned. Don't throw it in a washer nor dry it yourself unless you know what you're doing. Good luck.

What do you mean like a jacket or something. cause sorry I haven't stuck my face in a pile of goose down feathers before. I have a First Down Winter Jacket(menz) and I loved it. It didn't smell at all, it must me something else. Is it new? Maybe it is the new smell of it.

I've never known goose down to have a smell, unless I don't notice it. Maybe get that looked at.... Both my mattress pad and comforter are goose down but it never had a "smell" to me...

I agree. And every time you wash it, whether it's a comforter or down jacket or whatever, it gets that smell again.
