I just got this in a forward :
Start keeping your car keys next to your bed on the night stand when you
go to bed at night.
If you think someone is trying to get into your house, or if you hear a
noise outside your house, just press the panic alarm on your car key chain.
Test it! It will go off from most everywhere Inside your house and will
keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the
button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or
garage.

If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break in your house,
odds are the burglar or rapist won't stick around.....after a few seconds
all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there
and sure enough the criminal won't want that.
Try yours to make sure it works before you rely on it. Just know that you
must press the alarm button again to turn it off.

Jor-el, ruler of all, sends his only son to deliver Earth from evil. He has human parents, he performs "miracles" every day, he fights for truth, justice and all that sh!t, lived as a human for a while, and has an arch enemy that is the most evil person in the world but at the same time very charismatic. In issue 500, Superman dies and when Lois and Mr. Henderson go to the tomb, the stone door is open and the tomb is empty, with the funeral shroud still in the coffin. Lois says, "He's gone." Mr. Henderson says, "Not really. From the looks of it, he's back."

Ok, from what it looks like to me, it seems as if Superman could very well be based off of Jesus. If so, why don't more churches have a problem with this? You say one thing about God, Jesus or the Bible at any other time, and you get folks freaking out all over, yet you never hear anyone say anything bad about Superman. Am I wrong, or what? What do you all think?

So I am going to crush it right now

the book of Matthew 1:22-23 states: "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold a virgin shall be with child and will bear a son and they shall call his name Emmanuel,' which translated means, G-d with us." Missionaries claim that this is the fulfillment of a prophecy recorded in Isaiah 7:14, that actually reads: "Behold, the young woman is with child and will bear a son and she will call his name Emmanuel."

There are numerous inaccuracies in the Christian translation. For example:

1) The Hebrew word, "almah -," means a young woman, not a virgin, a fact recognized by biblical scholars;

2) The verse says "ha'almah--," "the young woman," not a young woman, specifying a particular woman that was known to Isaiah during his lifetime; and

3) The verse says "she will call his name Emmanuel," not "they shall call."

She comes over & stays HOURS. She’s critical of my kids & has started "correcting" them. Her own daughter is an absolute terror. She's 13 & throws tantrums like she's 2 & screams at her mother but she says my kids are bad. Mine are diagnosed ADHD. You can barely walk (no exaggeration) through their house it’s so bad but when my kids had a few things on the floor, she said their rooms were "dirty" & her daughter was "just unorganized," even though the girl has dog feces in her room because she refuses 2 clean. The neighbors car broke down months ago & she depends on me 2 take her everywhere but never offers any $ 4 gas. Usually, she just wants 2 ride when I go. She has the $ to fix her car. I mentioned my boys won’t wear certain types of shirts & she said I should tell them 2 wear it or else. Not 5 minutes later she was laughing about how her girl has stuff with tags still on she refuses 2 wear, bragging, “nothing but the best 4 my baby.” I think she sees my kids as beneath them. Help!

I've read a bunch of comments where the thoughts sounded pretty rational till the end where the person will sum it up by saying bad things about Muhammad or Jesus or Jews etc.

If you make a good argument then say that Jesus was high on drugs or that Muhammad was a thief and scroundrel, you lose credibility.

Why don't people just talk about what they really know?

Ok I have to give some background on this question its not about wife beating.
I’m in china and was held prisoner by a knife wielding ex-girl friend in my flat for over an hour and refused to let me leave nor was I able to call the police. In the end fearing my safety I (and hers as she had started cutting herself with it) I had to disarm her and throw her to the floor to escape from the place.

Some (not all) non Christians tend to answer questions or pose questions that encourage coming to a knowledge that God does not exist. Some questions and answers are very well thought out, interesting, and apparently logical. I am not talking about the insults and junk. Do any of these questions or answers make you rethink your faith? I have found that it has only strengthened my own. I was only wondering if this was having an effect on others since there are many atheists that stated that they were once Christians. Sorry for the length of this. I simply wondered if all of this serves as a crisis in faith or lights a fire?
