Christians are against the practice of homosexuality, not the homosexuals themselves. This is biblical teaching.

Good guestion. I am only 15 years old and gay, I have asked the same question for years. I have been this way as a child. Some say you cant be born gay becuse what kind of god creates people like that? Well if god makes babies born with illnesses im sure he makes gay people.
Being gay is a sin the bible says, but all sins are equal. Being gay equels the same amount as telling a little white lie or murdering. Im proud to be gay, wasent for years but am glad i am, god made me this way for a reason. Most christians just use the bible as a exscuse for what they personlay dont agree with so dont worry...

I am christian and i have no problem with lesbians or gays. Some of my best friends are gay.I agree with you though. Its not like they chose to be gay, they cant help if they like the same sex,people should be more open minded about the situation instead of treating them like a different species. I think its because in the bible it said that two men could not sleep in the same bed or something like that and now that being gay is more common, people are freaking out. What they really need to realize is that God is forgiving and he understands. I mean, wouldnt it also be a sin if all the gay people pretended to be straight and have normal relationships with the opposite sex? Deep down they would still be gay and have desires for the same sex, right? I think the people who judge gays,the so called "christians" need to reevaluate themselves.it may be cheesy but they really need to ask themselves "what would Jesus do?''

Christians dont hate gays and lesbians because God dosnt hate gays and lesbians. However he does hate the lifestyle of abomination they have chosen. This is the very reason Christians speak out against the practice of homosexuality. It has nothing to do with hatred, it has everything to do with Gods word.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
I have posted 2 scriptures one from the Old Testament and also one from the New Testament for those that seem to think the Old Testament is out dated.

Christians are not against the people, we are against the behavior. Can you love your child even though he makes bad decisions? The Bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin, just like lying and not going to church. We just have a problem sometimes separating the sin from the person; a problem viewing the person AS the sin. We really need to stop seeing gays as what they do, and start viewing them as who they are: beloved creations of a gracious and loving God. So, Christians, I challenge you to do just that!! Where would you be if someone hadn't loved you enough to see past your behavior?

In the bible it says not to do this in a short way of saying it. Although I haven't an opinion about this for other people. I just worry about myself on this subject matter. It's everyone elses own business. I am a Christian and believe what God says, but that doesn't mean I need to hate others for their choices.

LOL, good luck! People use the Bible as an excuse for their prejudice. They pick and choose what supports their own view (often narrow) of the world. The Bible also says love thy neighbor, and do to others as you'd have them do to you. It's a schizophrenic religion that can be used to justify dang near anything. That's why the Constitution was founded on the concept of separation of church and state. It'd be great if we could actually practice it.
Agnostic for good reason.
By the way, only bi-sexuals would believe orientation is a choice. I guess you can tell where I believe most of these "Christians" fall on that continuum.

God Loves everyone, and the bible asks all of us to Love each others, but clearly from all the wars, and the hate around the world, it ain't happening! is it! and the blame is not on Christians only, look around you, and see who is at wars with whom. Muslims don't just hate gays and lesbians, they stone them to death. Or didn't you know that. Homosexuality is forbidden by all three major religions, ALL of them. and it is the act, not the people that is Christians are aganist. but people are changing as we change all the time.

they are not against them at all,just the life
style they chose. Real and true christians
love gays,this is evident by so many of them
at hospitals trying to help save their lives by
giving them care and love,and support.
They don't support the lifestyle,but they do
support the people and love them very much.
No one who has a heart likes to watch people
in pain and suffering,they will help if they can.
I have seen many worldy folks turn the other
way when they find out someone has AID's.
Many still act like it's contageous!!!
How very sad and shameful this is!!!!

True Christians aren't against anyone. Jesus said love your neighbor which means love or treat everyone fairly and kindly. He didn't use the word "except" in that passage at all. If you're following Jesus, you should be treating everyone with love.

To know love you must know God, because God is love. Christians and God love the sinner but hate that sin.
