I just got this in a forward :
Start keeping your car keys next to your bed on the night stand when you
go to bed at night.
If you think someone is trying to get into your house, or if you hear a
noise outside your house, just press the panic alarm on your car key chain.
Test it! It will go off from most everywhere Inside your house and will
keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the
button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or
garage.

If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break in your house,
odds are the burglar or rapist won't stick around.....after a few seconds
all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there
and sure enough the criminal won't want that.
Try yours to make sure it works before you rely on it. Just know that you
must press the alarm button again to turn it off.

And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking
lot. The alarm can work the same way there.....

This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it
could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

That is very good advice! i saw it on here a while back! I told my friends about it!!!! I used to work at a convience store and we had to go out in the dark carry the nightly deposits it was scary. and i always had something heavy in my purse (a metal flashlight) so that if someone attacked me while i was on the way to my car i could clock them upside the head with my purse! And we were always told by the boss to give all the money over to anyone who was robbing us!!!! and not to argue with them because your life is worth more than money!!!!!

Bad Advice. Never use Home alarms or Car alarms THEY DON'T WORK! If someone really wanted to steal your car or break into your house all they have to do is hide behind a bush wait until they see you then hold you up at gun point and enter your home. These alarm companies have fooled people into believing they are "safe". If you don't want to have your house broken into follow these simple rules:

-Liminate your house and your front and back yard. Criminals hate light.

-Let your pressences be known and assertive. Carry yourself with boldness and let the Criminal know if they choose to approach you they are making a serious mistake.

-Get a dog. Having people seeing you walk your dog day in a day out will seen a message to any criminal this is what they will have to face "IF" they get inside your house

-DON'T GET A GUN!! If you get a gun you will most likely shot yourself, family memeber or use it in a crime. Also shooting someone if they break in your home doesn't mean it's over. If the person was a gang memeber you will find yourself in serious trouble.

Sometimes, I think the advice, viruses and "warnings" that come out in e-mails is just too paranoid. I mean, I know the world is changing, and not for the best. However, some of these e-mails would rather we just stayed locked up in the house. We, especially women, should always take precautions, but we can't live in fear. Life must go on. If you live in fear and follow every e-mail that seems to come out lately, you'd be better off just curled up in the ground. I'd rather just live each day as it is and know that I need to be cautious. At least I won't miss anything that way.

Are you giving good advice or asking for good advice? I have some...my favorite is don't run with scissors. A cop once held the door for me and asked where his tip was. I told him to look both ways before crossing the street. I thought it was funny.

I think it would be wiser to dial 911 first.

unless you're in deep slumber, you're advice would be good....

but doing it every night, wouldn't your neighbor be annoyed by it? i mean, there should be other ways to seek and perhaps, best would be sleep as lightly as one must....

Why do this? Criminals have to make a living, too!
