Who here can give me some biblically sound doctrine about the 144,000? Are they the 144,000 who will be left behind with the nonbelievers so that they can minister the truth of the Gospel to others?

I have looked into all religions. I mean ALL! I truly believe that anyone with any intelligence cannnot believe in a God. I would love to believe in a God, but have yet to be convinced. How do you believe in blind faith with no fact or proof?

Not that you give up one or the other to in 21st Century America, but if you had to, would you rather be treated as a true peer of men, or would you rather have the niceties that being a female gets you, such as a greater presumption of innocence, having people rush to your aid when you appear to be in a conflict, being able to be "in your face" to a man w/o fear of reciprocation, free drinks, favorable treatment in family court, etc, etc, etc.

One should keep close their fears and concerns and seek not remediation.
To do so incurs the wrath of the listener and heightens the level of frustration.
To convey an idea in it’s proper context in the course of a conversation .
Is difficult to do and renders untrue your words through aberration.
Any perceived slight or slip of the tongue will be met with undue trepidation.
How does one guard the words that they use to avoid this type of vexation?
To try and seek clarity when expressing oneself through the act of communication.
Is to leave oneself open to misunderstanding and unwarranted incrimination.
While it seems clear the motives were pure in seeking dissemination.
What is it’s worth when all the times spent in offering rectification?
Singularity of thought and purposeful speech precludes any recantation.
Consider long your desire to hold in your mind the essence of clarification.
The onus of the burden resides with you if you truly wish edification.
But be warned in advance there’s a price to be paid and it’s usually vilification.
The question is, how does one properly phrase a question that elicits a thoughtful response without raising the ire of the respondents. Is there a tried and true method of asking that causes someone to answer in a truthful and logical manner?

I turned 44 in June. I don't like everything about being this age. I have the usual health problems that come with being in my mid-forties and have to take a few daily medications. But overall, I think I like being middle-aged.

I now know who I am and what I care about. I don't feel like I have to prove anything or impress anyone. I look back at my 20s and 30s and think of all my opinions and passions and see that some of them were just empty pretension (how many books and movies did I try to convince myself that I liked?). If I don't like a movie now, I don't finish it. If I don't feel like being sociable, I don't. I'm now reasonably comfortable in my own skin. Becoming a dad is probably partly responsible for that.

For you folks of similar age, what do YOU like about being middle-aged?

Ok so God in God's infinite wisdom knows everything that is going to happen yes? So why did he set humanity up for failure? If God knew that the serpent would convince Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil why didn't he put up a wall around it? You can say free will all you want but if you are a father and you don't want your kid to eat the cookies would you put the plate of cookies in front of them and say "eat whatever you want but not the cookies?" Any thoughts on this?

Just feel the appreciation and gratitude within your heart, "as if our prayers have already been answered, even if the world appears to show us otherwise." Praying like this is not asking for anything or anyone to change or be changed.

The Master seemed delighted as he started instructing Chester. "In the Bhagavad-Gita, we learn that Krishna created everything and sustains all things by his glory. Chapter 9 teaches that the entire material universe is created, prevaded, maintained and sustained by him. In Chapter 10 we learn that he is the source of everthing and that all existence is because of Lord Krishna. '... I am the seed of all creatures; nothing animate or inanimate could exist without me.'

In John 1 of the Christian New Testament we are taught that 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth .... grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.'

I have heard many stories of places being haunted in my area because of something negative or horrific that has happened in that certain area; for example a murder or something. Does this really happen and why would a "ghost" remain in a certain area...and is it really a ghost?

I am really confused with it. Every time I see someone mentioning i the movie Armageddon comes into my mind. Where I am from, we don't really call it Armageddon , and we use other words like Rapture.

Is the Armageddon and Rapture the same thing? Correct me if I am wrong.

In the big plan, do you think He knew about sex and the propergation of the species?
Do you think that there is more to this whole thing than what we have seen so far?
He is a Spirit--we are spirits that live in human bodies.
We die and go to heaven as spirits. UMMMM! What are your thoughts?
