Not that you give up one or the other to in 21st Century America, but if you had to, would you rather be treated as a true peer of men, or would you rather have the niceties that being a female gets you, such as a greater presumption of innocence, having people rush to your aid when you appear to be in a conflict, being able to be "in your face" to a man w/o fear of reciprocation, free drinks, favorable treatment in family court, etc, etc, etc.

I prefer deferential treatment. Equal rights are for ballbusters. I do not feel inferior to a man; rather, I complement him as he respects my role and me.

For some reason, most think they should have both. The want the man to pay and do the work yet still want the benefits of being a female.

Equality. The other behaviors you put up in contrast are in fact some of the rewards of being equal and respected on your own merits. It's a non sequitur.
