Prooving that there is a God is, unforanitly something thats incridbly hard to do. And What I tell is really nothing unless you can belive me. I personitly belive there is a God, other wise how did we get here? I have a hard time belive tine particles of dust made us or some Big Bang. I have also heard and Angel. Or what I belive to be and Angle. I was only around 7 and for soom reason that I cant explen I was crying my eyes out over evreyone that has ever dyed, when your 7 your greatis fear is dyeing. I was ecspeshily crying hard for my great great granma (how dyed soom years previsly and I dont remember meeting here) An eriie sort of feeling took over and a heard a voice that was the most beatifull voice I had ever heard, very clearly in almost a whisper it sad "thank you." A suddent wave of calmness took over and a fell a sleep. No buddy was a wake when this was happening for it was around 12 o clock at night. I heard my parents snores and the voice seemed to come through the celing. Also why would people mack up thousands of lies and write them down in a bible? What do we do when die, is it just over? Do we just lie there 70 years of life lived for nothing? I think not. When I pray I alwes get that feeling of calm. You dont have to belive evreything, one of my friends belives in God but not Hell. We all have diffent opniones and I hope you find peace with the one you choice.

Why do you want to be convinced if you are truly an atheist? Could it be that you are agnostic instead?
Well, it is all a matter of faith because God is not a man that he will submit to clinical testing in order to prove His existence. Consider, however, that Man is the only creature who can look at the Heavens and ask, "Is there a God? Did God create me? Where did I come from?"
Isn't that simply marvelous, that we can even pose such questions! Now let me ask you, does the Big Bang theory of creation really make sense?
In the beginning was a big atom that accidentally exploded setting creation into motion. Science does not address where this big atom came from. Science tells us that accidents don't just happen, they are made to happen. Yet creation started as an... Accident? How is the Big Bang theory holding up to scrutiny thus far?
Faith tells us that God is the First Cause, the great I Am, the Author of all things. God has always existed and He willed all things, including time, into being. God's intelligence is so great that by merely thinking about something He can cause it to happen.
Look at your hands. See your unique opposible thumbs which allow you to do so many things. Look at your finger tips. See the lines and swirls that are uniquely yours. No one else has the same fingerprints as you. No animal in creation is signed in this manner. You are unique. This is no accident. This is no coincidence. God has made you and signed you in this unique manner.
My wisdom fails so forgive me for not being able to explain what I believe in a more convincing manner. I am not a scientist educated beyond my intellect who has come to believe that he is too smart to believe in God. I am a simple man with a simple faith who humbly invites you to Believe, but who will not twist your arm or force my convictions down your throat. If you wish and you ask me to, I will pray for your belief. If not, I will wish you good luck.
Best,
H

That's the answer right there, you must have faith. You must believe that it is impossible that we were created by some cosmic coincidence. How on earth could this planet be in the perfect spot at the perfect time to generate life, and not just any life, the organisms that are supreme to any other organism, us! You atheist somehow will not believe anything unless you have proof, the very fact is the proof is held in your faith. If you open up and let God into your life, he will proove his existance to you. You will get that feeling in your heart, knowing that you were created by God, and He loves you more than anyone can. There is no convincing involved, no one can convince you that God is real, you must take that upon yourself, to open up to the Lord God. You have absolutely nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Faith gives you understanding, faith gives you the feeling that everything you do in life is for a greater purpose. Faith gives you purpose, knowing that God has blown in you the breath of love, giving you a purpose. The meaning of life to me is to touch someone's else's life. If you open your heart and let the light in, God will manifest himself upon you, one way or another. If you constantly go through religions and find the faults and defects in them, then no wonder why you wouldn't believe. You must remember that even though the people who wrote sacred works were highly endowed with spirituality, they are still humans, and humans make errors. No man is perfect, which is why sometimes there will be things that counter effect each in books like the bible. Sometimes there are things lost in translation.
My point is that you must believe and understand that there isn't any solid, tangible proof of God's existance. All the proof is intangible, and lies within your soul. Let God into your life, and I assure you that you will find a meaning within yourself that you never imagined possible.
And if you cannot be convinced then I always say this: If you live your life believing in God, and you die, and it turns out there is no God, no big deal, right?
If you go through life not believing, and you die, and realize that God is standing there awaiting you to stand before him and be judged, what will you say to him?
Now, I am not the evangelist type, but I hope I could give you some insight to christian view of things. If you have any other questions and comments, feel free to contact me.

What does faith mean? To believe in the unknown. Luckily God is not completely unknown, He often reveals Himself. The first step is often just to look inside your own heart.
Ok, we all know we sin (do things wrong). Things that have been done can not be undone. So where does all the anger, pain, bitterness, even joy, go to? And what about your soul? No matter what happens to our body, the spirit can never be destroyed by man. And what about the universe? Everyone knows that the universe is running down. So in the end, what will happen? Will we all just disappear, without lasting consequences ? That sounds hard to believe, doesn't it? Thats why God uses His word, the Bible, to warn us that there is a life after death, in which our choices hear on earth have eternall consequences. He even sent his son, Jesus Christ, to make clear what we have to do. If you are really intent on finding the truth, God will show you. Open the Bible to John 3:16 and open your heart to God.
Hope to see you in His presence one day!

Blind faith is not for deep thinkers. Within every religion I have investigated there is an inner core, minority of members who understands the religion on a different level from what is commonly talked about and understood by the majority of members. These members understand that what is taken literally by the majority is actually allegorical. That is the key to finding value in the concept of "god". Buddhism is more up front with the concept, telling followers from the beginning that "Buddha" is an allegory for your own ideal self - a place/state of being reached by finally seeing the world clearly and understanding exactly who you are and what is possible.

It sounds like you already have your mind made up, because you refer to yourself an atheist in your opening statement. Nor I or anyone else can "convince" you that their is a higher being, it's something you have to realize and come to accept on your own. All we can do is give you examples from our life experiences and why we believe in God.
I am a strong christian, as is my husband. He is in the army as a Chaplain's assistant and has been over in Iraq since January. He's seen suicide bombers detonate themselves outside the compound gates, been in life threatening situations on a daily basis and convoyed the entire country of Iraq with a machine gun strapped across his chest and a picture of me in the pocket of his BDU's over his heart. Even though he has witnessed turmoil and horrible acts of hate, survived in a place where many have taken their last breath, the Lord has kept him safe and is bringing him home to me in just 5 days.
These past 7 months have been the hardest of my life. There were so many times when I questioned my faith in the Lord, asking why such a loving God would allow families to be torn apart and innocent lives to be lost in this despicable war. Even the strongest christians struggle on a daily basis with their faith.
Faith is trusting that everything happens for a reason. Whether we understand it or not now, it is all part of God's big plan for us and our lives. Although I continue to struggle with this, that is what faith is!
Faith is not blind. It's around us all the time. In the laugh of an innocent child, the touch of a new born baby, the embrace of a soldier and his wife when he steps off the plane that brought him home from a war zone.
Just know that whether you believe in Him, He believes in you. He breathed life into you and you are His child. I'll pray for you, and pray that one day you'll come to know the love of our wonderful God.

Something everybody WANTS to believe is that something will happen to them after they die. As in going to heaven or hell, being reincarnated, becoming a ghost, etc. Take a step back, and you'll realize that is the basis for almost any religion. Is there a higher being? Maybe, and thats something you'll have to decide for yourself, but from the looks of it, you already know or have your own answer. So the question you should ask is am i ok with the fact that i will die and become wormfood, and after a few generations, nobody will remember who i am or was?

Well for one thing, it is not our job to convince you of anything. You asked if there is a God and to prove it. Well, I personally believe in Christ who is the son of our living God.
Common sense will tell you, man himself could not have designed the earth, the sky, the ocean, the air that we breathe, the life we recieve and death, man rich or poor has no control over that, because weather you believe in God or not, everyone has an appointment with death, we all die, but one day we will all be judged according to what is in our hearts.
We should not be followers, but search the scriptures for yourself. Read the bible if you have so many questions, don't take the easy way out and deny that there is a God, try praying to God in Jesus name, and ask him personally if he exists, without any doubts, or unsure judgements. Lose the sarcastic, immature jokes and just focus on your question and pray...ask him, Say God, I am an unbeliever, are you a true God and do you really exists.
Only he above can answer you through his holy spirit. Not us, it doesn't matter to me who believes in God, or who makes a mockery out of him because I stick with my faith in him, not man.
To be born again is spiritual, not to be taken literally because we are already born. When we make a personal decision to accept Jesus Christ into our lives and make him our personal savior, we become born again, we get baptised into the water and when we come up from out of the water, we are considered born again.
Baptism symbolizes Jesus death, how? Well when we go into the water (that part symbolizes the death of Christ), when we come up from out of the water, (that symbolizes the resurrection of Christ) meaning Christ has risen. We are to have faith in believing what we can not see and having the hope to live with him eternally in heaven.
But did you know heaven will be brought down to earth. It will be called the New Jeruselm. If you like, try taking some time from your busy schedule and find a quiet place to read the book of Genesis. You will learn how God Created this earth and how man became to call on God and how men started denying his existence.
This is the end times and to recieve the Living Christ into our lives, and repent and ask God for forgiveness of our sins. It is still entirely up to you, I only ask that you give yourself a chance to fine out questions that maybe bothering you.
God gives us all free will to make a decision to follow him through his son Jesus Christ, or to follow those in the world who are the enemies of God, the non-belivers. No pressure, it's totally up to you. You either will or you won't, the ball is in your court!

too many people are answering this question from a religious point of view...all that does is separate us...spirituality is what drives each and every one of us...religion is a lifestyle just like the foods you eat or choose not to eat -you either like them or you don't, and sometimes you just tolerate them to make others happy...there are many theories and ideas out there because no two people are alike -even twins exist seperately-...i also know that no one out there can prove or disprove a question like this...however, i do feel (spiritual) that a wonderful, beautiful, power exist that merely watches us...i don't believe in a God who puts his hands in our business other than having started everything to see how we act and react...i don't believe in destiny or predeterminism because that seems to make humanity a puppet for God...it would be nice to see people practice the religions that they preach, but unfortunately it's all about wanting to...too many times it's easier to just not want to and just say **** it!...so if you want to believe it or not is up to you...hopefully one day you will feel an unexplicable feeling of connection to the world around you and wonder which came first -God or the big bang?-...

I cannot make you believe in anything. All I can do is share with you what I know. I want you to think about this make a choice of your own : life or death? good or bad? safe or dangerous? health or sickness? light or darkness? sadness or joy? love or hate? heaven or hell? perfect wheather or fire forever? pain or relaxtion? Do you want to have everything that you need? Do you want to have those things that you want? If so then all you have to do is pick up a Bible and open your heart. All you have to do is say: "Lord I know that I am a sinner just like everyone else on Earth. But I am only coming for me. I'm asking you to forgive me for everything that I have done against your will. Please help me to understand You and You're ways. Please come into my heart and my life. Lord I am sorry, please forgive me". When and if you say it, mean it. He will answer you. I know for sure.
