At least it seems odd to me. I know that God can heal people and he has healed me before but I also have gone to the doctor for medicine and praise God that there are doctors. This guy says that if I have enough faith that doctors arent even needed. He wont go to the dentist, buy asprin, anything. I asked if he ever had a child, what he would do.. if they were born severely ill, what he would do. He wont answer my question. I do trust God, but God also gave us doctors to help us, I think. Now that I know these things and how he feels, I find myself freaking out.. Ive been told to run away as fast as I can. This is the only thing we disagree on, but for me it feels like a huge issue. He says that I can do whatever I wish, but I also could picture myself with this man and since Ive always wanted children, I find myself talking myself out of wanting them since he thinks that doctors are a waste and what if the child were sick? Am I making too much out of this? I want honest advice... .

I worked as a j.c.o. at the Marlin juvenile facility in Marlin,tx.,and the incidents/crimes that these young people committed were horrible as well as heart wrenching,which in turn condition my mind to distrusting of youths today,so that's why i asked the earlier question and need some quality answers.

I am a former longtime boyscout and outdoor enthusiast so survival would be a challenge but very possible. I have become very upset with the direction society has taken and would like to live in a remote undisturbed wilderness location for 1-3 years to search for the answers of life that I can not answer in such a jaded society. Is there a place where this would legally be possible, thinking maybe east Texas.

IF the Bible had been written by man alone and wasn't the word of God....

The Old Testament would have promoted sex.
The New Testament would have been about the birth of beer
and Revelations about women (in particular, the wife).





Now that I've ignited a flame of discontent with some of you, let me explain. A lot of people like to say that the Bible was only written by man. But if that were true WHY in bloody hell doesn't it incorporate some of the basic wants of man? I don't think I'm terribly off to assume that sex is one of the first thought priorities of any man. If, as some claim, there was no God and all of these ancient writings just written by men, then what is there to accomplish by limiting the very things that most men desire?

And I'm not assigning each area because I believe any of it, but if you think about it why would man create something that doesn't have his wants listed first?

And if you mention power or control, be specific in your response.

So much crime and attrocities have been commited through out the centuries and always in the name of religions. If all religions are based on one God, would washing away the concept of religion and only believing in God be a cause for a more peaceful world?

I live near Detroit and it seems that you can't find a body of water (and I mean ANY body of water, even in the distant suburbs) that doesn't have a least one black person fishing in it. I never see them in boats but they are always fishing off land. Some are actually dressed quite nicely. Why is that?

If Christians and especially Catholics are supposed to be against homosexuality and for protecting children, then why does the catholic church not have a zero tolerance policy towards their priests raping little boys. Why do people who call themselves christians continue to give money to the catholic church? Why don't the other Christian churches denounce the catholic church for this?
