The barbaric attacks on the Palestinians and the Lebanese have been planned in a general way for years, and a specific plan has been in the works for over a year. The "Three Week War" was shown to Washington think tanks and officials last year on powerpoint by a senior Israeli army officer:
"More than a year ago, a senior Israeli army officer began giving PowerPoint presentations, on an off-the-record basis, to U.S. and other diplomats, journalists and think tanks, setting out the plan for the current operation in revealing detail."

The Israelis tend to launch their wars of choice in the summer, in part because they know that European and American universities will be the primary nodes of popular opposition, and the universities are out in the summer. This war has nothing to do with captured Israeli soldiers. It is a long-planned war to increase Israel's ascendency over Hizbullah and its patrons and destroy the elected Hamas Government .

Israel is defending it's people from Hezbolah. The U.S. would never allow Mexico to get away with firing rockets into our country and kidnapping U.S. military personel. No country would put up with a neighbor that is so disrespectful. They would do much more than what Israel is doing. Israel is being kind.

Hezbolah is getting what they finally deserve - I hope Hamas and Hezbolah and all who disrespect others because of religion are wiped from the dark ages of the Human race.

Maybe one day we'll respect each other and allow each other to exist in peace.

I don't think they do

I think they are very concerned about their survival and feel threatened. You might argue whether they at times are too heavy handed, but my experience is Jewish people in general have a sense of mercy and Justicee and are willing to discuss their mistakes. I find that often whether they are conservative or liberal they oftentimes have high priority on mercy and justic and self preservation as well

It is no surprise both the Old and New Testament place high priority on mercy Justice and faithfulness
"He has shown you a man what to do but to do Justicee and LOVE MERCY and walk humbly with your God" and Jesus said "you ignore the weighty parts of the law: mercy justic and faithfulness"

All states get away with murder, as does Hizbullah. The only way to end war is to overthrow all governments.
