"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. "

This is used as the main example of god sanctioning life and creating a soul at conception, except it doesn't say that at all.

It says that god sanctions life, and one would assume that the soul is created and sanctification, at some time "before thou camest forth out of the womb" and sometime after he "formed thee in the belly"

Unless you were to consider god having "knew thee" to be an implicit assumption of the creation of a soul, in which case this passage indicates a soul is created even before conception.

I've heard many stories and ideas and facts. I'm fascinated with the information. For example, I was fortunate enough to befriend a World War II B-24 Liberator Pilot. He was shot down on his 31st mission and became a POW only for a day as he escaped; the story behind each event is historical. Further this same Major in the 8th AirForce based in England may be responsible for the death of Lt. General McNair as he dropped his bombs short due to visibilty. In a different matter I have met old school administrators who have said they came to decesions based on astrological signs. One child was being expelled because the school administrator disliked the birthsign... This information can only be timeless if we share stories.......This information that comes from the REAL people is priceless.. THANK YOU!

I have a 10 month old baby boy. I know he's too young to understand this yet, but I want to start thinking about what I will tell him about my sexuality. Right now my gf and I don't live together, and I don't know if we will. I guess eventually at some point or another I'll live together with another woman.

How can I educate my child about this issue? What do I tell him? His father will be in the picture, but what do I tell him that mommy has a girlfriend? He needs to know someday and it worries me. Any advice?

When I was a child,I did not understand why my parents prayed.I would ask them what they were doing and they would reply that they were talking to god.I felt left out since I could not see,hear,or talk to him.In a way dont you think it is sort of crazy for people to hear a voice in their head claiming to be god(or any voice)?Out of common sense these people would usually be considered mentally ill but since it is based on a world religion, it makes it ok.I think people are dogmatic about their religion and closes their mind to any other religion rivaling their own.It is sad how christians assume that other religions are somewhat inferior.Throughout history, it seems that christian have been the aggressors who convert primitive people to their religion to save them.It seems to me that they just want manipulate people to control their lives.I think religions are the cause of wars and hatred among people.Thats why I remain neutral and open minded about other religions.

Most Christians had Christianity forced in their brains as children.

Lots of them were threatened with the hell myth

Most Christians were born into a world surrounded by nothing but Christians.

Lot of people would accept Christianity because they dont want to be the outcast

I've also heard that when people question things about religion he is testing your faith. Or when something bad happens to you, it's god testing to you be strong and stay with him. If he doesn't test us, how can this be true? I'm confused!!!!!!!!
