"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. "

This is used as the main example of god sanctioning life and creating a soul at conception, except it doesn't say that at all.

It says that god sanctions life, and one would assume that the soul is created and sanctification, at some time "before thou camest forth out of the womb" and sometime after he "formed thee in the belly"

Unless you were to consider god having "knew thee" to be an implicit assumption of the creation of a soul, in which case this passage indicates a soul is created even before conception.

Nope I can't say that killing sperm would be murder... is having period (females) murder? Until the egg and sperm meet and create a life it isn't one... no matter what the bible says about knowing one before they were made. Now once the baby has a heartbeat it is alive, that is the beginning of life... I believe Paul said something about that too in his book.... about the beginning of life being the heartbeat. God knowing thee does not imply a soul was born. At least not in my opinion. The bible is too confusing and contradicting sometimes.

Wrong again. Unfortunately, the same author David spoke about being conceived in sin, (dealing with the sin nature). Contextually, then, this means that conception is in mind--since the sin nature was from the beginning and the sin nature is in at conception--not a hard conclusion. Also, consider that David had a newborn son that died. He would be in a prime position to be informed by the Holy Spirit.

You make a good point ...why don't you ask HIM ! two halves are what we know for certain by visual observation! So then the soul must be a third part, invisible! However, it takes Faith to believe in the Supernormal part of humankind does it not? Not all the sperm fertilize the egg...where/what happens to the remainder? Not for you to worry about,GOD is still in Control, hallelujah!

That would simply mean that even when ejaculation results in procreation it is a process of mass-murder - since there can only be one (or never more than the handful that a uterus can hold)! If that is what you believe I'd say keep a lid on it, if not release it and enjoy.

Life begins at conception. Sperm is part of a man's body and is not yet an individual.

I cannot quote you Book, Chapter, and Verse, but I remember reading in one of the books, better to sow your seed in the belly of a whore than to let it spill on the ground. Maybe some Christians out there know the book it of the Bible itis in.

No it is not. The courts decide what is murder. Is using a condom now to be outlawed because some religious nut interprets something as murder.
