Most Christians had Christianity forced in their brains as children.

Lots of them were threatened with the hell myth

Most Christians were born into a world surrounded by nothing but Christians.

Lot of people would accept Christianity because they dont want to be the outcast

By the time they're old enough to question Christianity, they're brains are already gone. If they do question it. They would be totally bias

Good try, You were doing great until the "minds are gone" thing. But in the end, the Xtians are just going to say you have a choice.

Well that's a lie.
I grew up without having Christianity in my head. I didn't get saved until junior high. I was definately old enough to question it!

Myth? I don't think so. But I suppose if you don't believe in God, or Heaven, or Hell, then there are no consequences for your actions. You're basically free to do anything because you don't believe in the ultimate consequence.
But then again, your life could seem worthless. You could get very depressed.

I don't know you, but I'll be praying for you.

I don't know about the wierdo part, but I would like to see how fearless you are on Judgement Day. Believe me, you will have your answer then. Accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, to me, was a free will choice. I was fifty seven years old and a lot like yourelf, a know it all, rebel rousing, hell raising drunk lost and not knowing it until almost too late. I ASKED Christ to come into my life and take over. I was doing a really miserable job of it.

JESUS IS MORE REAL THAN ALL THESE SIMPLE EXPLANATIONS YOU HAVE.

I WISH YOU THE BEST IN FINDING HIM

But, I will share a little secret with you: Next year around July 2007 something unexpected will happen. Something huge. Also, the Mormon church will grow so big in the next 100 yrs or so. Also, the USA will become practically a mormon nation and will go into battle with Israel.

You might not be alive to see all of it, but just remember these simple words of mine in the back of your head and then YOU WILL BELIEVE.

What is your background?

If you were raised religious, then obviously this can be "overcome." If not, have you ever thought that you're just rejecting the Bible because somebody told you to, and you aren't thinking for yourself.

I do not believe now as I was raised. I looked at the evidence as objectively as possible, and drew conclusions. That's all any of us can do.

As an adult, we have the choice to accept it or not. Did you have a choice to learn English? Does that make it the 'right' language? As an adult, you have the choice to speak another language and never speak English again if that is what you choose.

Simply put, our earnest desire then should be to know the will of God, that we may do what is right. As David humbly said: “Teach me thy way, O Jehovah.” (Ps. 27:11, AS)
Now act consistently with our petition to God and study the textbook he has provided you, the Sacred Scriptures, and then follow its good counsel. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path. I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will observe thy righteous ordinances. . . . Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah, and teach me thine ordinances. My soul is continually in my hand; yet do I not forget thy law. The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet have I not gone astray from thy precepts. Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes for ever, even unto the end.” (Ps. 119:105-112, AS)

We can concur in that wholesome expression of the psalmist only if we have made a careful study of the Bible and filled our heart with the truth to the extent that now it overflows with praise to Jehovah before our fellow men.

Naturally, we are free to choose which path to take. But, since our eternal welfare is at stake, that choice is virtually important.

I choose to believe in god. I live on my own and I choose to go church. No one does it for me.
