I've also heard that when people question things about religion he is testing your faith. Or when something bad happens to you, it's god testing to you be strong and stay with him. If he doesn't test us, how can this be true? I'm confused!!!!!!!!

James. Christians didn't dump the atheists, it was the other way around! Also, if you're so afraid to think about the question and answer thoughtfully like other believers here, than spare us your whining and complaining at the least.

Those people can't even quote their own rhetoric correctly.
Check this out......... We, as atheists, have the ability to reason beyond the inherited mental defense mechanism that is responsible for most people's belief in a god of some kind. It has been discovered that the belief in a diety who protects and brings you to a happy home when you die, is actually a natural reaction in our brains, to the knowledge that we will all die someday, and any day. This belief acts as a buffer for anxiety and depression that many would feel if it was proven god did not exist. And, we as atheists, have either reasoned above and beyond our natural instincts, or have been born without this mechanism in our brains, like a mutant with a special power to see through B.S.. So, I guess we are kinda special. And, now that I know these things, I cannot in good conscience, try to force the mental security blankets away from those who obviously need it.

James 1:3 "For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow."
God has tested man ever since man has had a relationship to God. Man does not test God.
In regards to your previous question, if you thought God told you to kill your friend then that would be in contradiction to His word that says " you shall not murder". You can be assured that what you thought you heard was not of God.
Abraham and the occurrence with Isaac was in a different time, culture and where sacrifice was viewed in a much different light, especially in regard to his own son who was given as a result of a promise of God. Abraham knew that Isaac was not his own, that he was given through a miraculous intervention of God and God could take him away if He had so chosen.

God does test people. There are many instances in the Bible where this is clearly stated. In the first chapters of the books of 1 Peter and James it says that our faith is tested by trials.

God doesn't test. The devil is trying to lead us away and question our faith. The devil rules this world. God is sitting back and letting us show him how much we love him. God cannot be tested, he doesn't test others. If you believe and love him then that is good enough for him.

If you read Job closely, you will see that the devil does all that stuff to him not God. God trusted that Job wouldn't lose faith and couldn't interfere with the devils plan. Ultimately, Job doesn't curse God and God gives him riches and prosperity.

God cannot do harm unto others....he is divine and pure. Only we or the devil can hurt us.

The book of Job is about God testing man. If you hail from the judeo-christian tradition, then you should believe that God does test man.

perhaps the simplest way is to say this... God allows us to suffer the consequences of our actions... He also alows us to be tested by the trials of this mortal life... all the bad crap that happens to every one in this world...
God is not doing it to us...but he is watching how we deal with it...

God can of course make a test of his own... He is God after all and he can do as He wants... But, He will never allow his people to be tested beyound what they can endure... if it gets to hot for one of His then he will intervien...He will either stop, or redirect the assault or He will allow us to come to Him by ending the mortal existance... Hope that clears up some of your question

Child...... Do you question the things your mother and father might ask you to do? If they tell you not to play with fire because it burns do you believe they are testing your sense of feeling? God does not test you by making bad things happen to you. God is with you always, when bad things happen it is not of God's doing.

You either believe or you do not.... You cannot sit on the fence and ask God to PROVE your Faith to you. He gave his only begotten SON, so that you may find your path to him. He gave you words to live by, he gave you answers to your questions, if you chose to read. If you question your FAITH, it is not GOD.

God does test us he doesn't temp us. God allows, causes or prevents, once you develop a relationship with God and know His character then you will be able to determine whether you are being tested. read/study/meditate your bible and pray for understanding. by the way the devil is the author of confusion.

i in my opinion do no longer think of a toddler could be waiting to return up with some thing so stepped forward as “How come I’m predicted to have self assurance in this “God” you maintain telling me approximately once you haven’t shown me any evidence besides this previous e book of nonsense thoughts which doesn’t teach something and it actually doesn’t teach that the Christian god is genuine and all the different gods are fake?” and that i in my opinion do no longer think of a toddler who became into reported Christian might call the Bible nonsense thoughts. a young person, possibly, yet no longer a toddler.

I believe that we are all tested at every moment. And our free will is only one choice, to look toward God or to look away. Every second is a test. Great question.
