The following passage describes the sickening practice of sex slavery. How can anyone think it is moral to sell your own daughter as a sex slave?

(Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment.

We are no longer under "The Law," but under Grace through Christ. But Jesus was clear on how to be forgiven, and what must be done in order to be forgiven for sins. What are the consequences of sin without repetence or forgivensess? Yes, this is a multi-part question.

I have lots of ideas with me . But the fact that I am not able to present , convey or convince or have it implemented . And the more i delay some one else gets the chance to convey it out and then it becomes his/her idea.
Is there any way I can train myself to improve this skill because I am lagging behind everyone.

It really bothers me that born again believers can't stand up for what is right. Gay issues, abortion, pre marital sex and the list goes on. If you believe that the Bible is God's word, and God's word says something different from your personal feeling, don't you think you should adjust your personal stance? I'm not talking about putting people in their place or judging them. That's wrong-but I believe you can love a person without condoning sin. Tell me if you agree.

He is very friendly and nice to me since I asked him as a child to be my friend and the very next morning he tried to kiss me....I told my husband about it and he said to tell his father to treat you as a daughter....and you feel uncomfortable...I did exectly as my husband told me and this made my father in law hurt. My parents live in a different country and he feels pity for me. He promised he will find some way to get me whatever I wish. But he acts different in front of family (he doesn't talk politely to me) and still kiss on my cheeks and holds my hand....I find it weard and I told him many times that if you think me as a friend then why don't you say it in front of everyone? He said he can't at this point..My husband doesn't know that he holds my hands and kiss my cheeks....I try to avoide as much as possible but stills he does....I am affraid if I tell my husband he will get angry that why I am telling him all this after such a long time...I respect him so much....

Ok, so in the past I was part of a martial arts style that had a lot of emphasis on a metaphysical energy called Ki (also called Qi or Chi). If you don't know about it then check out this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qi

I'm just wondering if any of you others out there think such energies exist.

Also could you tell us what your main position is on Religion (Christian, Wiccan, Jewish, Atheist, Agnostic, Muslim, Taoist, etc.). I'd just like to know this to see if there are any trends in your answers.

And one more thing, is your Kung Fu strong? :)

I do not understand why people can read the bible and still not believe anything it says? I know that God gave us free choice but that seems idiotic to me. Expecially now after all that has been going on around the world, and hs been predicted numerous times throughout the bible. Example Mathew 24 after you read that how can you still not believe?

I am a Christian. I celebrate Christmas. A lot of the questions/answers under the Chrsitmas category talk about how this part of Christmas is really pagan, and that part of Christmas is false, etc etc.
But is there anyone out there that understands that Christmas is a tradition. No matter what the traditions stemmed from, they are still a part of Christmas as we celebrate it today. So Christ was not born at the end of December. SO WHAT??? That's when we celebrate it, so let it go.
It seems that a lot of adults have lost the feeling of Christmas because they take the facts too seriously.
So my questions are
Does anyone, who is Christian, actually like the current traditions we have?
What has happened to these adults, who say they are Christian, for them to lose the feeling of Christmas?
Jesus was born. That's worth the biggest celebration I can muster up. And if I have to use a tree and presents to help me get into that feeling, than so be it.

seriously...proof is needed...

Was Jesus of Nazareth a real, live, flesh and blood individual who walked the earth approximately 2,000 years ago. If he didn't Christianity would be dealt a blow from which it could never recover. The most significant aspect of this matter is that there is no reference to Jesus of Nazareth in any non-Christian writings of antiquity. One can peruse all the great literature of that era and find nothing proving the man even existed. "There is no history written at the time Jesus Christ is said to have lived that speaks of the existence of such a person, even as a man" (The Life and Works of Paine,Vol 9, p. 271). "We know nothing certainly of Jesus Christ. We know nothing of his infancy, nothing of his youth, and we are not sure that such a person even existed" (Interviews, Ingersoll's Works, Vol. 5, p. 273. Anyone wishing to believe in the reality of Jesus will have to rely upon the New Testament and the NT alone. There is no other source.

So what source

asks questions adressed to Christians only, and then insults all other religions in those questions. To me that is the same as asking questions adressed to black people only, in which i would insult all chinese people.

It's discrimination, pure and simple.

I also understand that she probably doesn't even mean any harm.

I truly wonder how to deal with such ignorance? Should i try and talk to her, ignore her, get angry at her? What is the best thing to do when the ignorance is too much to even imagine?

Lost of Christians left christianity & the reason was clearly : It contradicts science ! What about Muslims ? Here you can read a breif information about Muslims & Science in the past ..
Astronomy : Muslims have always had a special interest in astronomy. The moon and the sun are of vital importance in the daily life of every Muslim. By the moon, Muslims determine the beginning and the end of the months in their lunar calendar. By the sun the Muslims calculate the times for prayer and fasting. It is also by means of astronomy that Muslims can determine the precise direction of the Qiblah, to face the Ka'bah in Makkah, during prayer. The most precise solar calendar, superior to the Julian, is the Jilali, devised under the supervision of Umar Khayyam. The Qur'an contains many references to astronomy.
"The heavens and the earth were ordered rightly, and were made subservient to man, including the sun, the moon, the stars, and day and night. Every heavenly body moves in an orbit assigned to it by God and never digresses, making the universe an orderly cosmos whose life and existence, diminution and expansion, are totally determined by the Creator." [Qur'an 30:22]
