To Pamela D 99 : Obviously, you haven't read the Bible. But by your answer, I can see that you know premarital sex is wrong. Anyone who gets angry at these questions does so out of feeling a conviction that they're in sin. All sins can be forgiven if you stop committing the sin, and ask for forgiveness.

Well, since the website looks at things from a Biblical p.o.v. premarital sex is out of the question... Biblical proofs:
Deuteronomy 22:20-24 (New International Version)
20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girl's virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you.

22 If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

23 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, 24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

the above is from the Old testament... this is from the New:
1 Corinthians 6:15-19 (New International Version)
15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."[a] 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

Luke 18:19 (The Message)
19-20Jesus said, "Why are you calling me good? No one is good—only God. You know the commandments, don't you? No illicit sex, no killing, no stealing, no lying, honor your father and mother." (illicit is another word for "illegal"- to have sex outside of marriage, according to Jewish law, is illegal- see Old testament passage)

1 Corinthians 6:9 (The Message)
9-11Don't you realize that this is not the way to live? Unjust people who don't care about God will not be joining in his kingdom. Those who use and abuse each other, use and abuse sex, use and abuse the earth and everything in it, don't qualify as citizens in God's kingdom. A number of you know from experience what I'm talking about, for not so long ago you were on that list. Since then, you've been cleaned up and given a fresh start by Jesus, our Master, our Messiah, and by our God present in us, the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:16 (The Message)

16-20There's more to sex than mere skin on skin. Sex is as much spiritual mystery as physical fact. As written in Scripture, "The two become one." Since we want to become spiritually one with the Master, we must not pursue the kind of sex that avoids commitment and intimacy, leaving us more lonely than ever—the kind of sex that can never "become one." There is a sense in which sexual sins are different from all others. In sexual sin we violate the sacredness of our own bodies, these bodies that were made for God-given and God-modeled love, for "becoming one" with another. Or didn't you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don't you see that you can't live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.

The Old Testament repeatedly condemns "adultery". This certainly includes any sexual relations by a married individual with anyone other than the spouse. But some expand that to include *any* sexual relationship outside of marriage. Unfortunately, their is no clear definition provided in any of the texts. However, they do repeatedly condemn promiscuity. Whether that is a "sin" or just good practical advice is up to the individual. (To those who believe it is strictly a sin, presumably so is eating shellfish and the like, as that is explicitly prohibited!)

The New Testament also condemns uncontrolled lust, but again it is hard to be exact. Certainly, some behaviors are clearly prohibited. But others are less clear. Paul, for example, seems to discourage any sexual desire and get married if you must engage in it. In Mattthew, Jesus warns against even lustful thoughts! However, he also takes a prostitute as one of his closest followers, showing that perhaps intent is the major factor.

Like all questions of faith, it comes down to individual belief. I would strongly encourage people to carefully read their holy texts and study the history of their faith to get a broader understanding of what they truly believe.

The bible clearly states that sex outside of marriage is fornication. Jesus said that fornicators, adulters, men who lie with men etc. would not inherit everlasting life. That is he said that anyone practicing these things. You can see here that once we realize this fact and we stop doing it then we would not be "practicing" it anymore. This is God's love for us that he can forgive us of these sins if we stop doing them. If we continue to do them but we know it is wrong there is no forgivness of sins left. This is absolutely contrary to what many churches teach and what the world promotes, the idea that you can have sex if you love someone and God will forgive you. Jehovah's witnesses i believe is one of the only organizations that uphold this Christian standard for all the members if the congregation finds that one of the members unrepentantly is fornicating, they remove the individual from the congregation to keep it clean and uphold Christs standards. Yes they are high, yes they seem impossible but if you choose to associate with people only who are striving to keep clean morally then you can too.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

No all the people believe in the same thing you believe, I think is time for you to understand that. Pamela didn't said nothing wrong, She meant that is something between God and herself or himself.

You and no one are under ANYONE skin to feel what they feel. You think premarital sex is something wrong, then is under your own thing judgment.

If I believe, that what matter is love, then are my believes, why you have to judge about it? I'm respecting your point of view, why you can't respect mine?

Jesus didn't judge ANYONE when he came to earth... so why you have to judge them???

The Bible is a huge book where there's a lot of things that says the opposite back and forward, this is my point of view, and I do believe in God, and I do believe in His miracles, In fact I used to go to Church almost everyday.... but I was believing what my family taught me to believe. And I think everyone have the rights to believe in whatever they want, and I think is time you respect that.

And I'm not trying to be rude to you, or whatever, I'm just saying my point of view in this question: Premarital Sex is a decision everyone do by their own, and you and no one in this world knows why they are doing it.... ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY and GOD will decide what will happen to them.

Thank you and have a great day! Smile

Not much. Extra marital however is mentioned in the letters of St Paul. He tells church members that the body is for Christ.
In Leviticus the death penelaty is prescribed for extra marital sex and a lot of other things.

It is in favor of getting married first. Then, it talks about forgiveness. David was an adulterer, and he was forgiven.

That's a really neat article. It doesn't mention anything about premarital sex, though.

The bible says we shouldn't have sex, but if we can't control ourselves then we should get married first. We should be like Jesus Christ clean & pure but God knows that not all of us can live like Jesus did.

No fornication...save yourself for your spouse. BUT, I didn't. Too bad...wish I had. Fallen nature that was forgiven.
