We are no longer under "The Law," but under Grace through Christ. But Jesus was clear on how to be forgiven, and what must be done in order to be forgiven for sins. What are the consequences of sin without repetence or forgivensess? Yes, this is a multi-part question.

I thought Christians taught "Jesus died for my sins" and you are forgiven... Interesting.... Jesus died for your sins right so what are you worrying about. Don't be offended I just heard that a lot and was curious.

I will answer the question I hope it helps from a Muslim POV.

There are guidelines to be followed when repenting from Major sins. We just don't say confess and repent. The guidelines taught by the Last Prophet was....

1) Sincere about repenting...you have to mean it and must come from the heart

2) Remorse/Regret..You have to feel bad that you committed the sin. You violated a law of God

3) STOP committing the sin.

4) Promise to never return to the sin again.

Supplicate to the oft-forgiving, most merciful alone, and do not tell others about the sin. Cover it up. And those tears help. We Muslims say all of Son of Adam is a sinner and the best of the sinners are those who repent/rectify themselves. In our religion God says if you did not sin and ask for forgiveness I would have created people who do commit sins and ask for forgiveness. Why? So that God can show that attribute of most forgiving to his creation. Hope that helps and May God guide us.

I think God forgives everyone even when some people out of their minds judge another ones without knowing them. God specially forgive old crazy grammas, cause after all, they're to old to understand between the good and the bad, doing bad judging.

I also believe in God and at the end He's fair and will take control over everything, I don't really care about the judging of the people, but I know HE DOES!.

You can report my answer, but at the end, you know all this is true. You can call me prostitute, you can do whatever you want to do.... but as you can tell you have no live, just here trying to be forgiven for all the things you did when you were young (LONG TIME AGO)..

that's All I wanted to say, good luck with your life and don't forget:
what goes around, comes around.... today you judge me, tomorrow is you.

Smile and God may bless you.

Hear the word of God (Romans 10:17)
Believe (Acts 2:36, Mark 16:16)
Repent (Acts 2:38, Luke 13:3)
Confess (Romans 10:9-10)
Be baptized into Christ, to contact his death (and saving blood), to wash away sins, for the remission of sins (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-4, Gal 3:27, Col 2:12, Acts 22:16)

Then you should live a faithful life (Acts 2:42, Rev 2:10)

For all of the answers that said "say a prayer", please e-mail me and show me in the New Testament where anyone was saved by saying a prayer after Jesus rose from the dead and said "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved." (Mark 16:16)

Saul prayed and fasted three days, but he was told to "go into the city and it will be told you what you must do".(Acts 9:6) In the city, he was told to be baptized and wash away his sins (Acts 22:16). If saved when you pray, why did he have to wash away his sins. He had not eaten for three days (Acts 9:9) The bible says that he was baptized AND THEN he took food. (Acts 9:18-19) If he was saved when he prayed, why the urgency to be baptized immediately?
Every example of conversion in the book of Acts specifically mentions baptism. It was always immediate. In fact, no one who was converted either ate, drank, nor slept before being baptized. I can't find one example of an alien sinner being saved by saying a prayer.

Romans 6:23 states that The wages of sin is death. To be forgiven you need to surrender your life to Him, knowing that you live your live for Him and no one else, you must admit that sin and that you are a sinner, the you need to commit yourself and your actions to Him. this is an experience that is hard to do, but amazingly rewarding. Trust in the Lord

We don't have to 'do' anything to be forgiven, but we are forgiven when we genuinely repent from our sin, and ask God's forgiveness. Repent, means, 'to turn away from'.

The consequences of sin without repentance or forgiveness is separation from God - eternally.

Each one of us will not escape if we neglect so great a salvation.

Where will you spend eternity?

Heaven or hell?

I believe that if we sin, one of the consequences is 'guilt'. I cannot see how a human being can tell you to repent.

You must forgive yourself for your wrong doing, ensure you never do it again, and live your life helping others whenever you can because you never know if the beggar on the street is a test

You must humble yourself before the Lord, confess your sins and ask Him to deliver you from them.

The consequence of sin without repentance is falling from grace. Not being with God in Heaven. Your name being taken out of the book of life, and having to face God's judgment.

To be forgivin of your sins, just pray to the Lord that you have sinned, and you want to be forgiven...and mean it!

The consequence of not asking for repentace or forgivenessis not certain. It is only up to God to decide.

I am not an expert, but I attend church regularly and have a prsonal relationship with Christ Jesus. I believe the first step is to accept Christ as your personal savior. Believe he died for you. Confess your sins. He has already died for us - what will we do to accept that? The consequence of sin is death. Please go to the links listed - they will help answer these questions.
