Does this imply a more formal commitment? In the case I'm thinking of, there was no ceremony, just a relationship lasting more than 6 months.

When you are sitting across the table from someone and they are chewing with their mouth open and talking with their mouth full as you sit there watching little particles of food fly your way landing on your plate and clothes, is it proper to reinerate what that persons parents should have taught them or just grin and bear it? If you chose the latter, what would you do the next time you attended a summit meeting and the seating arrangement was the same and you had no other seating choice,(A) set up a barrier to stop the presidents projectiles from reaching your plate and have everyone wonder why or (B)wish you had realized that you had every right to let someone know that their bad manners made your meal inedible?

Hey, I hope I wouldn't provoke any indignation. I happened to just think about it.

The bible said something like this: "If we were to do wrong and didn't repent, we will be cast into hell and be burnt by the fires of hell in eternity and we will suffer."

However, if the souls were to be cast into hell and be burnt in eternity, would there come a time where they will get used to it? After all, all live forms are adaptable. Perhaps so are souls. So, initially, these souls will feel terrified and in pain, but over a long time, wouldn't they get used to it and it becomes mudane? Wouldn't they even learn to manage it?

So, if that is the case, what is the big deal about being burn in hell?

This talks about the "The Council at Jerusalem".

A council is an "administrative or legislative body".

For example, a city council "administers" an entity called a city.
A city council determines the rules and regs for the city.
The mayor is the leader of a city council.

Who made up the Jerusalem council?
Who was the leader of the council?
What entity did the council administer or legislate over?

Seriously people - how can we expect to change with the times when your Bible refuses to allow change? The Bible was written in such a way as to make everything unquestionable: It is written by God, so it is infallible. It says inside of it that people/Satan will attempt to convince you that it is not real, but it is. The complete circular logic found inside this work of literature prevents any believer from thinking on thier own, or from accepting change - just look at the amount of questions yesterday regarding rap in churches....
How can your religion survive if it refuses to adapt??

Please do not take offense - I am not ridiculing your practices. I would just like to know how the peple think the philosophies they practice can survive in the current world. After all, almost every early religion in the history of the world has died out...

I mean if I ask an intelligent question, I want an intelligent answer. Too many of you Yahoos think you are funny and you are really just wasting time and energy ( and probably air and space as well.)
Get a grip and grow up, would ya? If you agree say so. Thanks.

Why is it that when atheists and darwinists ask stupid questions peopl still answer them? I mean come on! Let's seee, athiests are just stupid sh*ts running around with no clue or purpose in life. They think when they die they get reincarnated or their just gone...... And darwinists...(laughing out loud)...........they think we came from fu*king monkeys! Are you kidding me? I mean yes, some people out there definantly share some resemblances but I know I'm not from a monkey! How bout you?

I keep seeing people say that biblical prophecies are 100% right. That's funny, everytime I see people using the bible for future insight they are saying the world is going to end on such an such a date. Then that date passes and nothing happens. Would you be so kind as to point out these magical prophecies and the resulting proof? I would like some actual evidence. Saying 'the Old Testament says Jesus would come' does not count.
