stop driving for everyone else and concentrate on your driving and behaviour. are these people worth getting yourself upset about? go on an advanced driving course and you'll find the best drivers are calm no matter what. get classical music on in the car and take a deep breath when you feel it starting to bug you. remember you'll get where your going but get there safe. everytime you see someone make a mistake or do something stupid on the road say outloud 'that's my buddy making a mistake..he/she must be having a bad day..i wish them well'. remember you will make mistakes too and others will be making allowances for you even if you don't notice. put out the intention to enjoy this drive and relax and what you focus on will turn up.

Hey do you have the option of public transport? A step brother-in-law of mine started taking the train into Chicago each day rather than driving his car. The money he saved on insurance paid the fare for the train! It actually ended up taking the same amount of travel time but suddenly he had time to read the paper, listen to music, and generally wake up or unwind each day before and after work. He was ready to see his family after his commute! Otherwise try to slow down and let the crazies pass you! Your life is so much more important than their rush rush life.

It is hard to contol yourself in situations like this. I drive in London and get very annoyed with other peoples driving. Just make sure you drive defensively, watch out for idiots on the road and you should stay safe. If they want to risk their life and that of their passengers that is not your problem. Concentrate on being safe and rise above the bad drivers. There is more to life than roadrage.

Ever seen the film "Falling Down"?
This guy played by Michael Douglas is stuck in a traffic jam in Los Angeles, in a car without air conditioning and a fly buzzing away at him. Basically he just loses the plot with life and goes on the rampage with a baseball bat (and other weapons of choice).
Anyway - I reckon you're about 48 hours away from becoming this guy. Seek anger management as soon as you can...

I have seen truck drivers block those emergency lanes. They will drive at the speed of their lane but halfway in the emergency lane as to look to see what's down the road, but they stay halfway in the lane. From what I have seen the person behind him in the correct lane always leaves a gap for them to get in their lane. The person who drives in the emergency lane is blocked and it gets heated after that. Good luck if you try it, fights break out.

Two schools of thought:
1. Drive carefully never making a mistake yourself and be proud in your competence, ignoring the idiots of the driving world.
2. Be even worse than they are, pull out on everyone, harrass them by driving really close, get a crap car and be prepared to hit anything you damn well feel like.
Personally I'd go for no.1. I enjoy the feeling of righteous indignation

Don't live in or near big cities. Life is far to short to have to deal with that and so many other things related to "city life".... Is chasing after money really worth all those hassles?

I just keep reminding myself that I am obeying the law and they will end up paying somehow for their impatience.

consider them, they are trying to make a buck, if it annoys you realize you don't own the road, letting it annoy you only makes it worst, try waving at them but not with only one finger.
