Did you mean an "inherited" quality or an "inherent" quality?
If "inherited," there are various studies going on to determine the biological/inherited extent of homosexuality. There was a recent study about brothers that suggested that the mother makes more antibodies with subsequent male children, and this might be what makes younger brothers more statistically likely to be gay.
If "inherent," or innate/inborn, yes it is something people are born with. God made us this way, and God doesn't make junk! :o)
It is not a choice, unlike hate-spewing 'christians' who choose bigotry, discrimination and homophobia over justice, tolerance, love and understanding. WWJD?

First, I did watch the video in its entirety! I also must say that I am not "brainwashed" and have, in fact, spent much time in analyzing answers to questions such as this. I am of the mind that homosexual behavior is, while not typical, natural for the individual in which it prevents. Take those twins, the 9 year old boys, they are very young--too much so to be simply "choosing" homosexuality, as many would claim. He is merely acting out on his inherent, different, nature. The reason why these changes occur I cannot pinpoint, but that does not mean it does not exist. I am not gay, and often encounter some of the most anti-gay and homophobic behavior on the earth, and "amazingly" I still feel this way. There is nothing wrong with homosexuals, they are not being tortured by Satan, and will not be punished for acting on thier own desires by whatever diety may exist. Anyone that would presume to try to convert them or ridicule them I must say is ignorant.

However a person comes by their "gayness", it is not natural sexual behavior.
From the standpoint of nature, it does not ensure the survival of the species, as gay animals do not produce offspring.
From the standpoint of science, if such a thing as a "gay gene" were to turn up, it would be a fluke of nature, and would soon die out, for the same reason. For evolution to be successful, the strongest members of the new strain would have to survive to...well, mate and bear offspring.
From the standpoint of spiritual growth, it causes one to live in defiance of the Creator.
As hard as people are trying, society does not really accept gay people. Most straight people (me, included, I'm sorry to say) want to feel as if it is a person's own business what they do in the privacy of their own bedroom...as long as the house that bedroom is in isn't too close to mine.
I have great compassion for gay people. It has to be one hell of a heavy cross to bear.

i haven't watched the programme although sounds very interesting
i am not gay but I'm sure if given the choice no one would choose to be in a position that is sociably "different" and unaccepted by many and may lead to many problems during life .. so its a bit ridiculous to say that being gay is choice ... of course no one chooses it and it stems from ( although i don't know the technicalities ) but a chromosome and genetic problem.. so i would imagine it isn't impossible to think this may be inherit

To answer your question I believe whole heartily that being gay is a choice not something that is inherited. If you believe that then your saying that God made a mistake when he created us.

No matter what any news source may want you to believe, it is a choice, not an inherited trait. You can choose the lifestyle and you can choose not to practice it if you want to. Nothing inherited about it.

No, why would God create you gay if He says homosexuality is sin. But God can deliver and wash you clean from all sins. Read the bible. :-) God Bless.

The answer to your question, in American English, would be something like "Well duh..." :-) i.e. of *course* being homosexual isn't something you just choose. Only an idiot would think that they could change who they're sexually attracted to.
