if you had chosen your own name what would it have been and why?

my name is Clarissa and i quite like it, but i hated it when i was a child because all the other girls in class had names like sarah, claire, jane etc! i stood out like a sore thumb. Do you think the name we are given really matters? are there any names you hate?
