Based on this, How do you think Jesus feels about the war in Iraq?
Matthew 5
38"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 39But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,[g] let him have your cloak as well. 41And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

official religion?

Note: The US does NOT have a official religion as a state recognized religion. While there is a predominately Christian religion, there are also many many other religions and so the nations separation of church and state has it's purpose in protecting those of other faiths from having a government that only officially recognizes one faith.

But if they did recognize one, which would you thin would be the best?

Why to so-called Christian pick and choose what they want to follow?

For example, they always quote Leviticus when beating up on gays, but I never hear anyone condemn divorce. Jesus says divorce is a sin. (see below) Why do so-called Christian churches refuse to perform gay marriages but they will perform second marriages that Jesus says are sinfull?

Matthew 5: 31"It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.' 32But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Jews and Muslims have a "personal" relationship with God? Is it only Christians that are afforded this opportunity?

Maybe I should just ask all of you- Can you define "Personal relationship"?

Do You believe Moses never had a personal relationship with God? Elijah, Elisha, Solomon,? Any of the Old Testament Prophets? John the Baptist?

I really wanna understand this from your point of view...

In Revelation chapter 12, the woman is described as "clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars" (Revelation 12:1). Note the similarity between this description and the description that Joseph gave of his father Jacob (Israel) and his mother and their children (Genesis 37:9-11). The stars refer to the twelve tribes of Israel. So, the woman in Revelation 12 is Israel.

There is PLENTY of evidence that there WAS one, but people I guess are just ignorant. They should read the Bible and it would prove them wrong!

I don't know the exact scripture (maybe someone can quote it), but you know when the bible said that gay people won't get to heaven.... Then what if your friend is in denial and you keep questioning their sexuality and he/she finally admits it and you are happy for them, are you going to hell? Also if you think a gay couple looks good together are you part of the scripture that is going to hell, and does it necessarily mean you are gay even if you don't have felings for the same sex whatsoever?

I do, because it teaches them that they have to respect authority, who the main authoritative figures are in their life, it teaches them right from wrong so they'll know what to do and what not to do. I've also found that it helps tame those wild, rebellious children. I've always heard that there is a direct line from the butt to the brain in a figurative sense, and it won't kill them either. It will keep them out of prison or winding up dead someday because of the healthy respect they learn. I've seen that they also love you more for caring enough to discipline them in the long-run.

In the Old Testament of the Bible, Rahab told the enemy soldiers that the Israelite spies had left her house when, in fact, they were upstairs. She is honored for her faith in the 11th chapter of the New Testament book of Hebrews.

Does the Bible condone a form of "situation ethics" here?

If "no man knows the day or hour", then why is everyone trying to figure out when the "end of days" is coming, and relating current events to it?

And if you say "I just wanna be ready", aren't you already behind?

And wouldn't you already be outta here anyways?

So shouldn't live our Lives as He would have us do, and not worry about it?
