I don't know. But I'm not saying people who don't believe are weird or anything. They have their own oppion and we our own. But I still wish everybody could know and meet Jesus. I haven't been baptized yet but I still trust!

1.They want to be the ones behind the wheel.
2. Afraid to be a responsible human and face truth. Or Afraid to be open minded to all things considered.
3. The threatening Idea of:
"If their is a god, does that mean something is expected from me?"
Then they will say biased nonsense like; well "the Bible isn't evidence, Religious people are hypocrites etc. and there for raping, violence, stealing, hate, porn is all random and inconsequential because Gods existence is unlikely."
These people believe,
"Life is random & has no meaning
,Thus for, Who really cares what I do in the end?"
Their hearts are open to all the ways that nullify the idea of God.
God/Jesus is usually an really touchy subject to these people, due to the way these people choose to live.
They collect "evidence" that they feel can prove that God doesn't exist inorder to feel good about their ignorent decision.
In my observation atheists are angry people.
Its actually quite sad in my opinion, because they are missing out on the only path to TRUE happiness.
If only they could open their eyes and hearts to the infinite possibilities and quit believing they have all the answers.
If life has meaning everything changes.
1. Questions to ask your self if your the non believer...
How could you know for sure God dosn't exist?
What you find most likely through scientific reasoning is irrelivant if you close your mind to the possibilitys.
also,
2. What if your wrong?

The bible doesn't prove anything. It's just a book written by men who decided what history would be then it was rewritten by the Romans to fit into the way they saw life and the way they wanted things to be.
At the very least, the bible is the last thing you should reach for as "evidence".
And as for why people think there is no god, it's because not everyone was raised like you and not everyone was brain washed into believing fairy tales.
The end. Come back when you have real evidence of a deity.

The first problem you are gonna run into is the fact that there are people out there that do not believe everything that they read... It is only gonna prove that you follow a different point of view... The New Testament was written around 140 ad (I think). Now we are trying to translate something written almost 2000 years ago. Written in a language by a population that no longer exists!
I don't wanna come across as a hater.... I'm just trying to present the uncommon point.
Only 33% of the worlds population follow Christianity... 67% of the world population is saying that you are one of the ignorant ones...
Again, I'm not hate'n.... just state'n
If we were living in the Greek Minoan period, we would be singing a different tune! And we now know how Greek Mythology is viewed..... Notice the word Myth?
You can throw all of your biblical "proof" out on the table and there is still gonna be a large percentage of people who can and will argue your proof... Who are we to say that they are ignorant?

Why do some people always cite the Bible as evidence? If you don't believe everything you see on TV, or read in the Newspaper, then why cite a book in which most of it was compiled from oral history.
There is no evidence that God exists.
There is no evidence that God doesn't exist.
Let's agree to disagree there. And take care who you call ignorant when your whole "argument" drips of ignorance.

KAK is right - the Bible is not evidence as it was written by men more than 400 years after Christ died ( yes, darling, he did die ). The Bible was originally prepared to include more than 100 stories on Christ written by 'disciples', but it was edited down and the authors, that Mark, Matthew, Luke etc, were chosen from the best of the stories. Besides, when babies are born hungry with aids ( Africa ), Hitler killed 6 million Jews, the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, one has to ask where the hell is god, as anyone who loved their children, and had the power to protect them from aids/hunger, the A-bomb and Hitler, would not have let his 'children' die by those terrible means. And don't tell me those things were allowed to happen so that we would know the pain God had when Jesus died. Nobody, especially God, would allow their children to suffer through those things. You can't convince those with a brain that genocide, dying babies and A-bombs were allowed to happen for any good reason. As for people being ignorate, well, if you want to believe that there is a guy living in a cloud in the sky, that is your business. But where exactly does 'he' live? I mean, have you had a conversation or coffee with him lately? Why doesn't he answer your prayers, or the prayers of others that want world hunger and wars to stop? Is he bored? Is he burned out? Is he now powerless? Believers never have answers, choosing to say only that we need 'faith'. And since there is supposedly only 'one god' ( the same one for Christians as for Muslims as for Jews, etc ) how is it that everyones's one god is so into letting people kill other people in his name?

The evidence you speak of? I have read the bible from front to back and studied many other religions and history. No evidence other than god does not exist and was just made by man. Most atheist have read the bible, it is one of the many ways we become atheist.

lil stank, lets see you wonder why people don't believe in God or think there is a God, well here are a few reasons:
The Bible is the only "Proof" of a God (man wrote the bible)
God is all loving, give me a break.
All loving means he allows wars, poverty, homelessness, disease, child abuse, torture, killing, raping, all in the name of religion.
Of course you believers always say we have free will, but again if God is all knowing and cannot make a mistake then he knows if we are going to sin or not sin and if he knows we are going to kill/mutilate/rape/steal etc. and he cannot make a mistake then we are going to do that unless he stops it and being God he can stop it but he doesn't, why because he is all loving?
Of course God also gave us"
Rattlesnakes
Flies
Mosquitoes
Jellyfish
and
Tacos
Hamburgers
chili dogs
pizza
so there are somethings to be thankful for.

What, a simple book should tell me God does exist? Is that your evidence? The Bible was written by man, and they said it was the word of God passed down to them. Am I supposed to take their word for it? Their is more evidence for my belief. Give me some proof outside of the Bible that God exists.

Let me start with something everyone will agree with; it is impossible to PROVE or DISPROVE God's existence. You can look at substantial amounts of evidence and arguments on either side, but in the end, what you choose to believe is not based on facts or logic alone, but on faith. Yes, it takes an equal amount of faith to be an atheist as it does to be a believer.
For this reason, I think people choose to believe or not believe in God for reasons that lie outside of science, logic and fact. People come to their own conclusions primarily from emotional issues, biases, hopes, experiences and personal attitudes. People will layer arguments to the sky, but in the end, it all hides something very basic and simple about themsleves and their emotional predisposition to authority, submission and freedom.
A common misconception is that scientists reject faith. Dr. Francis Collins, is perhaps the world's leading geneticist, and in his new book "The Language of God" (see Time Magazine's recent article), Collins sees no conflict between science and faith.
I believe it is essential that the existence of God must not be a provable fact, because if it ever became a matter of fact rather than faith, then free-will would be violated. It is nearly impossible to disbelieve the roundness of the earth, because this has become an indisputable fact. Similarly, belief in God must remain a matter of fatih to preserve free-will — perhaps the whole point of our life experience.
So why do people not believe in God? My guess is that it comes down to a combination of ego, anger from violated expectations and how life events have played out in their lives. As CS Lewis confessed from his atheistic days, "I knew God didn't exist, and I was mad at Him for not existing."

There is just as much evidence for Zeus and Rah.
I have read the bible. I was a christian for 16 years.
I then started to question aspects of my religion, and it quickly unwound.
Your god is no more real than any other.
Why don't you believe in Marduk? (Have you even heard of Marduk?) I bet it wasn't because of research and study. You are just as IGNORANT (and almost certainly more so) then those you slander.
