Based on this, How do you think Jesus feels about the war in Iraq?
Matthew 5
38"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 39But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,[g] let him have your cloak as well. 41And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

I think he probably feels like Ted Bundy's parents, you raise them and teach them the best you can. Ultimately it is up to the children to do as they were taught. You can not make people do what is right, they have to make that choice for themselves.

I see Jesus as my brother, therefore he was breathing just like my other brothers and had an opinion of his own just like any other human being.

If Jesus was alive today in human being flesh,he would probably live in Tel a viv. he would definetly be behind the state of Israel and ask for destruction of all these terrorists group.

But, The Jesus who died for our sins and save the world is probably saying that the end is approaching.
So, brothers and sisters, it is time to learn about the Kingdom of God. Join a good church and learn about Jesus.

All I know is that if there is a God, then why did he make us so good at killing each other. If there is a God, then he loves Marines, because they keep heaven stocked with fresh souls. And if the Army and the Navy, ever looked to heaven scenes, they would find the streets are guarded by United States Marines. Simper Fi

Well, obviously Jesus didn't condone violence in any way - he went against the norm of Roman society which was in fact a military society in every way. That's why he was crucified. But being a Christian doesn't mean the same thing at all as being like Jesus.

Haha I love this quote by Ghandi:
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

God is love, and peace is what He desires for us. But His true peace existed in Paradise, which men were tossed out of.
Jesus knew the violence would be coming. There are two swords. Read the Bible front to back. Understand the Words.

Then you understand what He is doing.

I think he doesn't like bloodshed, but I think he gives Christians the right to defend themsevles. I think he hates the Iraqi War becasue it's about Bush making oil money. Iraq never did anything to the US.

War is from fear. Jesus is God. God is Love. Love casts out fear.

Human barbarism is responsible for war, and Jesus does not support human barbarism. Once we have developed beyond our own barbaric nature, there is no war mentality remaining. When Christ is driving, we are Peace NOT war!!

Very obvious!!

However, Jesus has compassion for the ignorance of humans. 'Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.'

Who the hell knows. I'd bet he wouldn't be happy with this situation, but the question is, who would he blame, the Americans or the Muslims? After all it is their territory and we are the invaders. Maybe Jesus would not sympathize with us at all.
