In the Old Testament of the Bible, Rahab told the enemy soldiers that the Israelite spies had left her house when, in fact, they were upstairs. She is honored for her faith in the 11th chapter of the New Testament book of Hebrews.

Does the Bible condone a form of "situation ethics" here?

the bible says that you should "not bear false witness" against another. don't lie in court or bring false lawsuits against someone, but dont ever think that the Lord would punish you for hiding someone that is being falsly or unfairly persecuted.

even it the christian radicals get their way (i am christian) and make being gay a crime, i dont think the Lord would condemn my sould if i hid, clothed and fed them.

it is the civil and criminal courts that would get me, but then i'd be a martyr who stood by the writings of the bible.

Revelation 22:15 Outside are the dogs and those who practice spiritism and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone liking and carrying on a LIE".

What I have reasoned out about Rahab is that, if she told where the spies really were, she would have been an accomplice to murder.
So to fool a murderer is supporting LIFE. IF you drive a bank robber willingly to a bank to rob it, aren't you guilty of the crime also? What do you think?

Apparently evildoers do not have a right to knowledge for pursuing their deeds. Wisdom would come in to play in these circumstances I think.

105. It is those who believe not in the Signs of Allah, that forge falsehood: it is they who lie!

From chapter Bee from The Holy Quran.

30. Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, {{{ And Shun The Word That Is False,- }}}
From Chapter of Pilgrimage from The Holy Quran

But as far as I know it is ok to lie to save human life, Allah is the Most Mercyfull.
And Allah knows better.
Thank you.

I guess she was supposed to say: "Oh, I have some men for you to slaughter right here." Wouldn't that have been like murder? I guess she tried her best to pick the lesser of two evils in that situation.
