I mean in some way other then spiritual fulfilment which is a state of mind anyway. Some tangeable reward that is visible, measurable or in some way provable.

a marriage that survived instead of ending in divorce as it probably would have with the problems we went through ... our faith was the only thing that caused us to fulfill our vows & stick with it til things improved... And as a result we have 3 children that we would not have otherwise had. I guess I would also consider them part of my tangible reward.

well god answering our prayers is a reward. I'll give you a personal example, once i was at Disney world and i forgot my bag at a bus stop. their was well over 100 dollars worth of stuff in it. when i realized i forgot it i went to the registration at the All-Star resort i was staying at, just when i got up to the counter and asked if he could call the bus station if they had it a young couple walked in with it and handed it to the man i was talking to. he said" is this the bag you were looking for". I prayed that that stuff would be returned to me and it was, had i not got it that instant i would never have got it because we were leaving to come home that second. so you see god does work in the lives of those who have faith. Also a good christian should trust god by faith, so pray tonight for a better, stronger faith or if you have not yet excepted Christ do so right away, you will be glad you did.

I think that we all have at one time or another even if that reward was beating your boss into the office when you were running really late. rewards are not always big things and they don't always appear when we want them to
the universe works with karma god does not keep a score care and neither should you good deeds are rewarded because they are done unselfishly and you should not always expect to be rewarded sometimes in fact the reward is knowing that you were good enough to help someone in a jam and that maybe your actions of goodnes will inspire someone else to help someone

I don't know if it is a blessing from God (but I'm pretty sure it must be):
1. I live in a very safe part of America
2. My husband has a good job
3. My children are intelligent, clever, beautiful, healthy, and happy
4. My health and my husband's health is excellent
5. My church is wonderful
6. When I was single (about ten years ago), I prayed to God for the exact traits I wanted in a husband. Listen to this! I was working for Kelly Temporary Services at the time, and they called me with a new job, which I accepted. The new job turned out to be great, and they hired me permanently. After a year, I was transferred to a different department that my to-be husband worked in. We got to know each other, began dating, fell in love and got married. We've been married for seven years. He has all of the traits that I asked for from God. THAT is tangible.

God takes care of me, and I don't know why. I know for a fact that I don't deserve it, but I thank Him pretty much every day for the MANY blessings He has given me. :o)

Are you expecting earthly rewards? Jesus said himself
"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also." (John 15:18-20)
"What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" (Mark 8:36)
Matthiew 19:24 "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

A while ago, I turned my life over to God. I taught religion, was active in every church function, held prayer groups, asked for guidance every day of my life...

... I lost my job, went through a very nasty divorce, the whole town and the church turned against me - I had to flee for my life. (The divorce was because she decided to sleep around)

Rewarded - I don't think so. That was over 10 years ago and it is still haunting me. I am agnostic right now, but my doubts are turning to fact - especially the more I read the Yahoo Answers.

well i know ive had pains for diffrent reasons and prayed God to help(one time i cut my toe real bad late at nite...i prayed God and no pain the next mornign and never again..it healed fine.) if you had proof you wouldnt have faith faith is belief without proof ...so im not really Religous or Spritual but I know if you talk to Him or ask HIm to help you ,He will( may not be the way you expect but then end result is for the better ..Have Faith in him..cause none of us can help you, so it doenst matter waht we say or belief..you have to believe yourself....

Once I tried to hang myself and I begged god to kill me.. It totally didn't happen. Then I tried to overdose about a year later and my parents had my stomach pumped. God doesn't want me to die. So no, I guess not. Sorry.

By the way I'm very much over the death thing.

Your marriage survived because you wanted it too! because you love each other! If it survived because of god, then its probably best you finish it because someone else is keeping you there, and your not in it for love (of course I personally believe it survived because you love each other and nothing to do with god) I think people just want to believe he exists so bad, that anything good that happens in there life, its obviously a sign from god!

Yes, but I don't know if you would consider it proof, because you can't always see it. I know that my life is better when I'm faithful to Him. It's something you feel inside you, a sense of peace that wasn't there before. If you want proof, I can't give it. But it's good enough for me.
