I know for sure king James changed it to benifit himself but who else has changed it? How many legitamit versions are there? How can I believe in something that has been changed by someone and is not how it was originally written? I am not very educated on the subject so if someone would be good enough to answer these for me I would really appreciate it.

following up a previous post-

My wife acts like Jekyll & Hyde on a regular basis and doesn't want to change. It's been going on for over a decade.

The Bible doesn't give that as a valid reason for divorce, but should I consider it anyway?

yes, used to be physical abuse but now it's only verbal/emotional abuse. been going on for a decade. She refuses medical help. i already tried (a lot). She blames others, mainly the kids. They have ADHD.

Been to 5 counselors over the years and most don't detect her problem. They try to remain impartial and she can fool them. One counselor was on to her and she broke off the meetings.

AND the only thing that has made me hold on this long is knowing that most mom's get custody in divorce and I would be throwing my kids to the wolves. Should I risk them if I can't prove her unfitness????????

OR DO I HOLD OUT FOR A MIRACLE?

Carefully screened foreigners contributed significantly to technology to enable US to be the superpower. They contributed very significantly to the economy and the cultural diversity. Did 9/11 change all that and inspired the American public to a negative attitude about them? Are they being treated differently now than in the 20th century?

I need help being more Christian Minded, and in my actions?
I try and try to be judgmental, and tell people that they are going to hell because they don't believe in our savior, but I just can't do it. Any suggestions on how I can judge others, but not take into consideration my own sins, and feel good about it? I know it's possible because I see people do it every day in this section. Do I need to give up on this whole "honesty with self" kick I am on? Or should I just make like everyone else and judge people on an impossible standards that even I cannot measure up to? Just curious. Notice I did not say I needed more help being Christ Minded. I have no trouble with that. His principles seem to agree with mine.

"You generalize too much" , "You haven't met everyone in the world to say that" along with "Where did you hear or read that?" are common blurts from the politically correct.

For one thing, the second one is an impossible standard to measure up to and even they must realize it.
One does not have to meet everyone in the world to identify some kind of patterns or regularities amongst certain groups of people.

For example, the average Asian is shorter than the average white person; more blacks live in poverty than don't, the majority of terrorists in the world are Muslims, etc. Like it or, not that's the way it is.

Another thing is, they only seem to use the last when someone brings up a pattern that they don't agree with or like. When they do agree with the observation they don't demand proof or sources, their own judgement is good enough for them. But only then, of course.

They only choose to believe what they want to. Do they ever think of the hyprocrisy in that?

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean living.'"
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

have actually gotten their information FROM one of Jehovah's Witnesses? So many people bash JWs and I've found that those who do so either have no idea what they're talking about or have heard half of a story from someone who has "heard" things from their preachers or have "heard" things from someone who USED TO BE a Witness but who is now not associated with Witnesses because of their own bad conduct. I have yet to meet someone who has had something negative to say about my faith who has actually taken the time to find out WHY we believe what we do. Most "Christians" blindly follow the teachings of their preachers, but you never see them crack a Bible open in church (before becoming a Witness I attended quite a few different churches to find out for myself what their beliefs were and what the taught). We are all responsible for searching out the truth for ourselves, so if you're going to believe in something at least research fully to make an EDUCATED decision.

I think the black men who refuse to be with black women have self image issues.

They think they're higher up with a non black woman

They unconciously hate themselves for being black. It's a slave mentality that trickled down from one generation to the next.

I'm an attractive black man and if any black queens would like to see my pic or chat, click here http://www.listentocharlie.com

Evolution has been proven to be correct many times over, and yet there are some people who STILL don't believe it. Are these people just really stupid?

In the Bible, anyone reading it will see that there are two conflicting stories to creation. Genesis 1:25-27 states that humans were created after animals. Genesis 2:18-19 states that humans were created before animals. Creationism can't even support its own argument. So why do people still believe it?
