Babies and little kids walk on their tipeetoes. Ever noticed? I'm not calling you a baby or anything but I think its cute.. one of those baby characteristics. I personally walk on my full foot, unless I have a blister on my heel, then it normally hurts to put pressure on my heel because it just rubs my shoe against my blister. There's a Wendy's right next door to where I work. Sometimes I walk there for lunch, maybe I'll go there today, and walk on my toes. Its got to be great for your calves right? I mean.. you must have some muscular calves going on. That's kinda cool.

(I figured I'd let Nikolai have McDonald's.. I'll start my own answering fast food trend.)

Yes, when I walk and stand, I put my heel on the ground. If you don't, aside from the fact that you'll have disformed feet when you're an old man, you may have back trouble. Believe it or not, your posture and the way you walk and stand can have a big impact on how much back pain you experience. However, if you currently do not suffer from back pain, but you decide to walk and stand the way your doctor recommends, this change may then cause back pain until you are used to it.

I walk a lot: two trips to and from McDonald's each day. Then I have to wait in line for a very long time there, but I bring a chair from my balcony so that I can sit on it while I wait. That's another thing: I have to carry the chair to and from McDonald's which makes good posture, walking, and such even more essential for me (because I actually must carry more than just my own weight). If you suffer from back pain when you are first adjusting to the walking and standing methods your doctor recommends, you should be certain to take a chair off of your balcony or patio so that you too can sit as you wait in line! But maybe the McDonald's near you has faster service...
