I read recently that the phrase 'One Nation Under God' was introduced during the Cold War to differentiate between Communisim and the American ideal. Is it still a common belief that Atheism contradicts American values, or is Atheism simply being branded as negative because of its political stigma?

I consider myself a good driver. I do the speed limit when I can without being ran off the road, I always use my turn signal's, Im aware of others around me, I dont talk on the phone, etc. I just returned home from a short trip to the store and never before saw so much stupidity in my life. need I explane. I'll just give you one example. A mother and her two childern were standing at a crosswalk the light turned red and the sign turned green for the crosswalk, the mother and her childern proceded to cross and the guy that was in the right han lane wanting to turn right turned right in front of them nearly hitting one of her kids and he shouted something to her like it was her fault. Im sure she will get over it but I feel for her kids because there mother was just bashed for no reason. I wish there was a cop around to see that.

ok in the bible it says after you die you will rest in your grave until ressurection day. ok, though that might be true and might be a long time. but do you know when like you go throough surgeory and then tey put you asleep and you wake up 2 seconds later but it was actully like 4 to 6 hours? could death be like that. like when you die it will only be like 2 serconds until your woke up but it was actully a thousand years or somethin n it just seems long to the living could that be?
