I ask Christians where did god come from and most of them said "God is"

THAT'S just stupid. I'm sorry

How could you not think that's stupid?

What if I said "An Atheist is" What the hell is that saying? Nothing.

I'm sorry that you think I'm stupid, and I hope that someday you may understand. I don't know where God came from. I don't now how he came to exist. I can't comprehend his greatness. But I personally can see his glory when I sit on a crystal clear beach, or hike in the mountains. When I see fields of Golden Wheat and tiny beautiful babies, he is there. When I stood and literally cried like a baby at the rim of the Grand Canyon I could feel his greatness. You may be able to logically explain the awe and splendor of this earth, but I can't. It takes a great power to create these things and I personally believe it is God.

Your opinion really is not that important to God. He does not ask you to give him advice when he does something. You will one day bow your knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and know that you have made a very serious mistake in your life here.
God says he is, because he is the only one and other opinions don't matter. He's the one, he's the creator, he just is whether you like it or not and it seems that you don't like it..
So you think we are stupid, so what?? You going to be a muslim and kill us for being stupid??? Why did you kill them?? Because they were stupid!! What an answer..
Why does this bug you so much?? It is because you are not at all sure of what you believe or are doing and want to tear someone else's beliefs apart.. Go for it, it can't be done because HE IS>>

It is not at all stupid. If you were sincere and had any real interest to the answer to your question, you would realise that Christians believe that God is the "Alpha and the Omega"...which means the beginning and the end. In fact, there was no beginning to God; He was, is, and always will be. That is their belief; you may agree or not. But they are not stupid.

Hello,
When Moses asked God what His name was at the burning bush. This is what transpired: "What is His name? What shall I say to them?" God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.
Thus, God himself has given us his name. Jesus Himself called Himself "I AM" which angered the religious leaders of His day.
Basically, If you don't believe in God there is nothing I can say here to convince you. You may not like the way God has identified Himself but this is how He has. God has always been and will always be. It is hard for us humans with our small brains to get a grasp on that but that is the way it is.

God is that which no one can comprehend. We know there's a creator because of the things around us (in perfect order) that no earthly being has made. However to believe in the nature of God as described by religionists may require some faith. Just remember, there can be no true faith without reason.

Christians (and many other religious types as well) often use the Bible as their justification for anything and everything. I say ok...if the bible didn't exist..then what would your answer be for this "moral" dilema or that and they can't answer because it all depends on that one book which I like to remind them...wasn't even written by god...and hasn't exactly been kept to it's original content. I think it's very convienant for them to have to have "faith". To answer your question, they have no answer. God just is.... is the same as the collective consciousness just is....the big bang just was.....etc...

A persons faith is just that. If it is unshakable your point of view means little or nothing. Accept that fact that religious zealots believe God Is, was and will be and therefore your input is like spit in the ocean.

Why is it so hard for you to believe that they can believe what they want?

I am agnostic I might add.

"Is" means present (present tense; proper English). If an Atheist is, he is currently living. Please get some education.
violet_dream..., if the Bible did not exist, you would not exist and if you did not exist then you could not ask me this question and it was writtin by men appointed by God and many upon many copies of the Bible have been found making it as clear as when it was writtin.

God was never born so he will never die. Also that means he has no parents. Nor does he birth children. For he has no need of them. For he needs no heir. And because he will not age he needs no one to take care of him in his old age. He does not need worhippers he has no mortal needs i.e. food, nurture, etc. The only reason we are here is because Iblis (satan) challenged God.

i do not honestly know. I cannot say that I will ever know how G-d came to be. That's just the best answer I can give, and I apologize for that.

I wish there were a better answer to be given, but that's all just grabbing at straws.
