I am not a expert by any means but, most of the time people were crucified on something that looked more like a T than a cross, you will notice that in The passion if you watch it. The bible doesn't talk a lot other than one man excepted Jesus and Jesus told him he would have a place in heaven, and the other didn't.

One was a thief and one was a murderer. They were crucified because this was the punishment for their crimes in those days.
But don't get confused they may have been on a cross but no crucifixion was as severe as jesus'. As a matter of fact after jesus' crucifixion it was still a common practice to punish theives, muderers or anyone that the romans deemed worthy to crucifixion including peter who requested to be crucified upside down so he would not die in the same manner as his lord.

They were theives....one believed he was Jesus the other did not.
They both died alongside Jesus.but only one accepting him as lord and savior. This theif entered heaven with Jesus. You can read the story in John. Start in chapter 19...and continue on thru the ressurection. Very sound advice for the people of today.Boy the romans were stupid.

Yes, they were crucified also. Both were robbers. Only Jesus was crucified using nails, however. The others were tied.
Crucifixion was a common Roman punishment.

They were crucified on a cross because that was the Romans way of putting people to death. A thief and a murderer.

The men that were crucified with Jesus had broken the law and the punishment was death. I'm not sure who they were.

Back in the day, during that time, that was the punishment for things such as theivery, blastpheme, and other such things...it's like our modern day death penalty, but back then penalties were more harsh...
