I, personally, think Community Service is wonderful. BUT, someone should be able to volunteer to do someothing for their community by choice. It is used as a "requirement" for certain things, like the Honor Society at my son's school... then it is used as a punishment for other things. (ie. You shoplifted... so go do 100 hours of Community Service!)

Shouldn't it be one or the other? For the love of doing good for others... or for punishment. Maybe there can be two names?

Why do you in the religious right, again, some not all christians, want to reverse the sovreign right of the Great state of Vermont to have gay marriage?

You quote render onto Caesar what is Caesars, but you clearly aren't doing it.

Are you Fundamentalist Christians hypocrites, just admit it, you have an agenda and are homophobic and I'll stop calling you a hypocrite.

Why is it that whenever I ask a question about religion, religion in general, people are always give answers where they seem to think that Christianity is the only religion in the world and nothing else exists, or matters.

All humans use and make tools, have musical traditions, have language and storytelling. Some universal traditions seem more and less "civilized" than others, but on the whole, we tend to accept other people's musics and languages as they are. Why don't we accept their religions the same way, as in "it's not what I learned from my people, but maybe it's valuable in its own social context"? I'll hear any opinion on this question. Can you?

Many will turn away from me...false prophets will appear... sin will be rampant, and the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:10-13

In the last times some will turn away... they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons. 1 timothy 4: 1-3

In the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire. This will be their argument: Jesus promised to come back, where is He? 2 Peter 3 :3-5

In the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to enjoy themselves in everyway imaginable.... they live by natural instinct because they do not have God's spirit living in them. Jude 1: 17-19

Any other churches, 7th day adventist, and so on. I am just curious, if other churches preach salvation through Jesus Christ. I would look them up on internet, but would rather hear from peoples own mouths.

...just to explain myself, if I feel as though I have a "calling", i.e., something i should be doing with my life that has been ordained by the Big Guy himself. So the question is... what if I make less money doing it?
I have a wife and kids, so this is a bigger question than just me alone.
Do I tell God, "Hey, wait 'till I've saved some cash, buddy!" or do I go after it and depend on God to see my family through?
And furthermore, what if my wife divorces me if I pursue this Divine Direction?
And if she does divorce me, is that a sign from God that I went down the wrong path?
Or am I fooling myself alltogether... I mean, I could just stay in my carreer - and make a good living - and say "forget you, world!", and do just fine on my own....

Hmmmmm....... It is a puzzlement!

What do you think?

These are some of my Truths as I perceive them today. I have read many spiritual, religious and scientific books to come to these beliefs. I am, and have, voiced them in all sorts of venues. I am voicing some of them here inorder to open a door of intercourse. Peace and Love.

I believe in the "Big Bang"
I belive in "God" as the instrumental force in that happening.
I believe All religions are right.
I believe that mans awareness comes from the Creator.
I believe mans continued creativity comes directly from God's Love for us His "children".
I believe, that as children of our Creator we should treat each other with Love and Respect.
I believe we should all learn whatever Truths we need to know without being judged right or wrong.
I believe that Our Father has shown us His ability to evolve life any way He wants, that's why He's God and I am not.
